The Zadneprovsky District Court of Smolensk found Taisiya Osipova, an activist of the unregistered Other Russia party, guilty of drug trafficking. Osipova was sentenced to eight years in prison in a general regime colony.

Bloggers, including politicians, journalists and civil activists, spoke out after the verdict was announced.
