Museum of Military Glory in Veliky Novgorod

On the way back from Soltsy I stopped in Novgorod in the hope of catching the aeronautics festival. But he didn’t have time - everyone “flew away”. But we managed to visit the museum of military glory.

When entering Novgorod along Pskovskaya Street from Soltsy, the museum will be immediately behind the public transport stop, when turning onto Chudintseva Street. Symbolic fee 50 rub. for entry and another 50 for the right to take photographs.

The museum is small, but there are quite a lot of exhibits. The first thing that catches your eye upon entering is Rubtsov’s painting “How long, Lord?”

This collection of portraits was collected and installed by one of the WWII veterans, especially for the museum.

The museum is mainly dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, but various exhibitions from private collections, including those from private collections, are periodically held here.
