The authorities of the Moscow region have developed a tourism project “Provincial Ring of the Moscow Region,” the press service of the regional government reports.
The project “Provincial Ring of the Moscow Region” should present the Moscow region as the custodian and creator of original Russian traditions, folk crafts, and monuments of “deep antiquity”, emphasizing the originality of Russian culture.
“The implementation of this project provides for the formation of an exclusive tourist route in the cities of Volokolamsk, Dmitrov, Klin, Kolomna, Mozhaisk, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov, Istra, Chekhov, Pushkino,” the report notes.
In addition, at a government meeting, a decision was approved to allocate about 3.794 billion rubles for the development of tourism in the region from 2013 to 2018.
