August is the time for vacations, but our statesmen do not sleep, they care about us, about our prosperity, morality and spirituality. They think about our future - about young people. And they don’t just think, but try to give everyone what they deserve according to their deeds and abilities. Those who are needed are imprisoned, so that others would be discouraged from engaging in various obscenities in public places and insulting citizens; those who are needed are encouraged to further exploits and achievements, to fruitful work for the good of the Motherland. Including in the field of science.

Last week, Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov gave an interview to a prominent young scientist, science organizer and, part-time, TV presenter Vera Mysina. This in itself shows how highly we value youth and their opinion, but before talking about this, I want to note that our scientific youth really focus on the best examples and, I have no doubt, will become more than worthy replacements for them. Not one that needs to be nurtured in hothouse conditions and pulled by the hand, but a powerful and uplifting change that, like grass through asphalt, is ready to break through to knowledge and light through any bureaucratic clutter and inert structures.

We all know the name of a prominent organizer of science, who for many years selflessly fulfilled the duties of the scientific secretary of the Council for Science, Technology and Education, who, at the same time, not only greatly enriches science with outstanding works, but also sows reasonable, good, eternal things from the TV screen. Enlightens the average person by telling him stories from the future: how science will change our lives, what will bring new and useful things, how hordes of nanobiobots, a thermonuclear reactor and the beloved lunar tractor will serve humanity.

Kurchatov, Kovalchuk - who will be next in this glorious galaxy of scientists and science organizers? The answer is obvious to me - Vera Mysina, who knows a lot about both Oryol trotters and the problems of young scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences. And, it seems, not only for me: it was not for nothing that the minister chose Vera to discuss scientific problems.

But, of course, not only personalities are important here, but also a demonstration of the general attitude of the country’s leadership, the leadership of the ministry towards young scientists. Of course, the goal was to once again emphasize the role of scientific youth in determining the future of Russian science, and the whole country as a whole. The point is to encourage young people to discuss this future, to remind them of the responsibility for the future, from which there is no escape, no hiding.

No wonder Dmitry Viktorovich, answering Vera Mysina’s question whether the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences could somehow help in the work of the ministry, said: “We consider the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences as our important, and maybe even key, partner in this work . Why - because, as I said earlier, what Russian science will be like in the future, in 15 years or even in 10 years, depends on you. And we want to hear from young scientists what needs to be done first, what is hindering the development of science today, what is holding back your initiative, what is preventing young scientists from working at a higher level.”

And young scientists of the Academy of Sciences - not all, of course, but the best and most organized part of them - are ready to take responsibility and become a key partner of state power. They are ready, under the leadership of Vera, to develop a concept for the development of the Academy, to do everything to make it convenient for young people and to open the way for them to scientific success, career elevators and apartments. Because youth is a time of creation and development, it is unacceptable to waste it on whining and whining, on politicking and antics.

No, you need to pull yourself together and force yourself to work, work and think, think and suggest what can be changed for the better around you, suggest - and not be afraid to take responsibility for it. And then everything will work out for us. The main thing is that the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences and its leader have everything for this: fighting spirit, ideas for reformatting the system of departments of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and thoughts about changing the scientific paradigm on the scale of all humanity in general, and ideas on how to distribute rates and apartments for young people . Youth passes, but the apartment remains.
