Two forest fires with a total area of 7 hectares are burning on forest lands in the Siberian Federal District, reports the forestry department of the Siberian Federal District.
In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as of Wednesday, one forest fire was recorded on an area of 3 hectares in the Yenisei region. In the Tomsk region, there was a fire on an area of 4 hectares in the Verkhneketsky district. Forestry specialists managed to localize it throughout the entire area, the report says.
According to Roshydromet, short-term rains are expected on the territory of the constituent entities of the Siberian Federal District on August 30-31.
“There are no threats to populated areas and economic facilities in the district,” the department said in a statement.
