An unextinguished cigarette caused a fire in a school in the village of Ulyunkhan, Kurumkansky district of Buryatia, which occurred on August 19, reports the press service of the government of the republic.
The report notes that the unextinguished cigarette was thrown in the area where the heating system insulation box was supplied to the school building.
Currently, the investigation is deciding whether to initiate a criminal case.
