The main suspect was a certified Aesculapius, 32-year-old Petersburger Maxim Brekhov. According to investigators, he was registered in a neuropsychiatric dispensary, and on August 24, a military physician had another seizure of aggression. Then he killed a relative of his friend.

On August 27, the suspect’s parents, returning home, found part of the human body in his pockets. They called an ambulance and the police, but Maxim Brekhov jumped from the fifth floor of his apartment and disappeared.

On August 29, during combing the terrain, he was detained by the district police officers in a forest belt near the Glukharka River. There, Maxim Brekhov lived in a hut, and from his clothes there were only underpants on him.

According to police officers, the detainee was completely insane and, after delivering him to the police department, tried to write an application for hiring in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the same time, he told in detail how he killed and dismembered the woman.

According to the alleged killer, he committed a crime from patriotic motives and the benefit of the Russian Federation, since the victim "participated in an anti -government conspiracy and performed the secret tasks of the Masons."

At one time, Maxim Brekhov graduated from four courses of the Military Medical Academy and two courses of the First Medical Institute. For some time he worked in the healthcare system. But the last ten years has not worked anywhere.
