The Orthodox Arkhangelsk created a group of restoration of the worship crossed by unknown people on the VKontakte social network.

"The page was created to convey information about the establishment of a new cross to the people who cut it off, and invite them to the celebration of the erection of the honest and life -giving cross of the Lord , on the day of which the restoration of the frauded cross will be held," the group of which quotes Interfax said.

The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the festival of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord September 27 (according to the new style) in commemoration of the acquisition in the 4th century by Queen Elena - the mother of Emperor Constantine - the Cross, on which Jesus Christ was crucified.

Recall that on the night of August 25, in two regions of Russia , acts of vandalism were committed against the worship crosses: one of them unknown cut in Arkhangelsk and three others - at the entrances to the village of Smelovsky in the Chelyabinsk region.

Earlier on the Internet, a statement of a certain movement "Narodnaya Volya" appeared , which took responsibility for the cutting of worship crosses.

"We demand the immediate release of the Pussy Riot group, the attacks on the Russian Orthodox Church will continue until our requirements are fulfilled in full," the statement emphasized.
