Is the Strategy-31 relevant?

Photo: ITAR-TASS

On August 31, the next action "Strategy-31" will be held in defense of freedom of meetings on the Triumphal Square. PublicPost talked with those who used to take part in the action, about its relevance now and what generally gave the protest movement a three -year confrontation at the Monument to Mayakovsky.

Eduard Limonov, leader of the Party "Another Russia":
“The fact that the“ strategy ”is not relevant, my political rivals say, it is beneficial for them to say so. I can also say that mass speeches on the shares officially permitted by the authorities have lost their relevance, because after them nothing happens, although after the masses something should change. So they do something wrong, it means that there is not enough determination to raise the masses. I believe that the struggle for the 31st article of the Constitution will be relevant to those who are relevant to those For now, we will not achieve the right to enter the street and square of our cities without the permission of the authorities today.

We do not chase the number. Do the rules of the political struggle provide for any numbers with zero to be written? No. Anyone who thinks so is brutally mistaken! Again, was there a victory after tens of thousands of thousands went out into the streets? There was no victory. The task of "Strategy-31" is a deliberate challenge of the authorities. We never thought that we would be allowed a rally, so the most avant -garde, the most daring people, come to us. We have given others an example of perseverance and courage for three years now. When there will be freedom of assembly in the country, then we will stop going to the triumphal square. "

Lyudmila Alekseeva, Chairman of the Moscow Helsinki Group:
“I am 85 years old, and give everyone God to live so much and go to rallies somewhere else there. I have lived, but I can’t go to rallies for obvious reasons. The merit of“ Strategy-31 ”, I believe that rallies with a demand for observing the 31st article of the Constitution, which were held in many cities of Russia, were the precursors of those mass shares that we have observed since December 2011 in Moscow and all over Moscow and all over Moscow and all over Moscow and all over Moscow and all over Moscow In this, "Strategy-31", undoubtedly, played a role that is now happening on the 31st on the triumph, I am hard to judge, I am not there. "

Boris Nemtsov, co -chair of the Parnassus party:
"Life is going forward, this is all in the past." Strategy-31 "was an important action, it tempered the opposition, and now it is just a ritual performance by Limonov, absolutely safe for him, it is no longer any interest for the authorities, and even more threats, this political action does not change this temperature, so I do not participate in this. In addition, I do not like it when this event is used to train omon on our citizens countries".

Anton Demidov, leader of the Movement "Russia Young":

"On August 31, we do not plan any event on the triumphant, since these actions have already outlived ourselves and do not cause any interest. Now there are many other interesting events." Strategy-31 "on the triumphal collects few people. Most of the opposition who went to these shares publicly, they condemned and condemned Limonov. It seems to me that they will disappear at all. Shares on the 31st were unable to offer and show.

We still continue to spend the days of the donor periodically. When they were on the 31st, the press noticed and covered the donor activity, which our country really needs. As soon as we stopped to mix politics, it became uninteresting in the press. We will have an action dedicated to donation in the first half of September. "

Andrey Pesotsky, "other Russia" (St. Petersburg):

“Of course, the idea of“ strategy-31 ”remains relevant, because the freedom of assembly has recently become more, but less. It is appropriate to recall new fines for rallies and other negative trends in Russian life. For example, in St. Petersburg, lawmakers want to establish a list of places where it is impossible to arrange public actions, and Nevsky Prospekt and the stable area, and the stable area, and this list. Isaac's Square, as well as many other places where politically active citizens could somehow arrange shares for many years, or even decades. A hackneyed plate.

Strategy-31 was the only efficient idea that the opposition was able to develop and somehow implement the opposition in the inter-election period of 2008-2012. "Strategy-31" was fueled by the climate for the mass exit of protesting citizens last winter. Remember where people rushed, dissatisfied with the results of the elections, in the first days after the announcement of the results? In Moscow - on the triumphal, in St. Petersburg - on the guest courtyard ... The authorities and the repressive apparatus also appreciated the meaning of the "strategy". For example, in the criminal case, which is now being considered in the Vyborg court of St. Petersburg , where I pass as one of the organizers of extremist activity, rallies on the 31st of the Gostiny Dvor are considered as shares of the prohibited National Bolshevik Party taking place under the flags of the NBP. The nonsense is complete. Apparently, such speeches of citizens were very angry at the top. ”

Lev Ponomarev, Executive Director of the Movement "For Human Rights":

“I participated in the shares of Strategy-31 until the group of human rights activists parted with Eduard Limonov in the approach to this issue. At the same time, I believe that the protest is now more than relevant, despite the fact that Limonov reproaches me with almost obscene words. And not only me. The protest is relevant, and everyone has, not calling for violence, if the group is right. It considers it important to defend their rights on the triumph square, then I think they have the right to do it.

Limonov’s shares on the triumphal have been held for several years. In your opinion, did you manage to achieve something during this time?

I think yes. The requirement itself, the defending the right to peaceful actions sounded and sounds. Limonov is the predecessor of these mass shares. Another thing is that he is too individual in itself, so his shares could not join the overall stream. On the other hand, shares of "strategies" play their role anyway, people come out ... so let them remain. I don't mind".

Konstantin Kosyakin, coordinator of the left front:

"We have been going to the square for three years. All this time, the authorities are resting - we are not allowed to go out under any pretexts. What they just did not come up with to refuse us: the cyclists are being rode there, then the donors of blood are arranged ... They put the fence ... He has been sprouted there for the third year and the roles of the nests are rushing. They understand that this is a political problem. After all, hundreds of places are offered, so that we have only to do with us, so that we are with us. We are not leaving the triumph.

But we set an example for others that the authorities can only resist. They will rub their hands, if we leave, they will trumpet that they still won the top. So there is still the effect of our shares-people study. Many politicians went through the triumphal square, hardened what is called. We teach people courage. We ourselves stand and do not give up and show the example to others - do not be afraid. The authorities only need us to give in, leave, succumbed. But we believe that the truth is behind us. "

Roman Dobrokhotov, leader of the "We" movement:

“Initially, it was a struggle for freedom of assembly, and to some extent the“ strategy-31 ”ended when they began to give the triumphal square for rallies: two agreed actions passed there. After that, many lost interest: if the shares are coordinated, then you need to come up with a new agenda and change the topic.

But time passed and Sobyanin began to ban rallies in Moscow even tougher than his predecessor Luzhkov did. In those places where it was traditionally possible to rally, it became impossible to rally. Personally, this summer I submitted applications to the Revolution Square, and they not only refused me, but also explained that all sites in the Central District were busy from morning to evening. In fact, all rallies were banned. This has never happened in essence - this is the most stringent situation with the freedom of assembly since Soviet times. Naturally, this topic has become relevant again. "Strategy-31" was superusary, it gathered as many people as not a single action in those years collected. Now, after the December and all subsequent shares, we will conventionally call them “millions of millions”, thousands of people go to the streets. The action on September 15, I am sure, will gather about a hundred thousand people. Of course, this is not comparable with those maximum two thousand who will gather on the triumphal. With all respect for them, one must understand that the agenda itself has become very aggravated - a certain instructive of protest has begun, all this goes to the level of a very serious political struggle. The triumphal will remain a place to run into young activists. "
