“This decision was really not easy for me, I thought it for two months, and in the end I decided for myself that I wanted to work 3-4 days a week. Moreover, I no longer want to be a general director, ”Myasnikova told a conversation with Polit.ru. According to her, she was overloaded with paper work, and this is what was one of the reasons for her departure.

At the same time, Myasnikova refused to discuss specific plans for the future, noting that she would remain in Sanoma Independent Media until mid -October at the request of shareholders. According to her, if the relevant proposals come to her, she would like to join the board of directors of one or several media corporations, "if they need such a person for 3-4 days a week." Myasnikova also did not exclude that she would be engaged in teaching.

At the same time, the ex-get director noted that her departure will not affect the change in the editorial policy of Vedomosti. She explained that Sanoma never tried to influence the policy of her publications, but always dealt with exclusively economic issues.

Myasnikova also recalled that Vedomosti is a joint trilateral enterprise, and therefore the decision to change the editorial policy in any case cannot be made only by one of the shareholders. "Sanoma Independent Media Only a third of the shares, other shareholders of the publication are Wall Streer Journal and and Financial Times. Therefore, any change in the editorial policy should be agreed with other shareholders, ”the ex -get director explained.

Myasnikova, who was appointed general director of Sanoma Independent Media in 2007, could not predict who could take her place: “I have no thoughts on this subject, moreover, I think that Sanoma has no one yet, since my departure was quite unexpected and they did not have time to choose the right candidate.” She noted that the search for a new general director can be conducted both within the company and beyond.

The publication also claimed that the chairman of the Sanoma Independent Media Sanoma Supervisory Board , Derk Sauer, could also resign with it, but this information has not yet been confirmed. It was Myasnikov and Sauer that stood at the origins of the largest in the advertising revenue of the publishing house, and Myasnikov, along with Ellen Ferbeek, wife of Sauer, was the first co -editor of the Russian -speaking version of Cosmopolitan magazine.

After the media reported the future remains, assumptions about the possible restructuring in Sanoma Independent Media began to be expressed. The fact is that on September 4, Sanoma announced such transformations in her journal unit in Finland, where staff reduction is planned for the sake of reducing costs. The report on this occasion noted that such programs are planned in other countries of the presence of a media group.

The Finnish company Sanoma bought 100 percent of the Russian ID Independent Media in January 2005. For the company, whose revenue in 2004 amounted to about 70 million euros, the Finnish media group paid 142 million euros. The publishing house itself was founded by Dercom Sauer in 1992, and the English -language newspaper The Moscow Times was its first project.
