In Tyumen, the Lenin District Magistrate Court brought a local resident to administrative responsibility for distributing extremist materials on the Internet, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported on Thursday, September 6.
According to the department, a 24-year-old Tyumen resident posted the film “Miracles of the Koran” on a social network, which in April 2011, by decision of the Nefteyugansk City Court, was recognized as extremist and included in the federal list of extremist materials.
The prosecutor's office opened an administrative case against the young man under Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation ("Mass distribution of extremist materials").
Based on the results of the consideration of the case, the magistrate court fined the Tyumen resident 3 thousand rubles. Currently, extremist material has been removed from the social network, the press release notes.
