Anti-terrorist rally gathered about two thousand participants in Nalchik
In Nalchik (Kabardino-Balkaria) at the monument “Forever with Russia” on Friday, September 7, an hour and a half rally of solidarity in the fight against terrorism was held, an Interfax agency correspondent reports.
The initiator of the event was the public organization “Peace to Your Home.” She was supported by other public organizations, including youth, as well as residents of all regions of the republic. According to the organizers, about two thousand people gathered in the square.
The rally participants honored the memory of the victims of terrorists, including children and teachers who died in the Beslan school, with a minute of silence. Funeral prayers were read by the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Kabardino-Balkaria, Alim Sizhazhev, and the Dean of the Orthodox Churches of the Republic, Valentin Bobylev. The parents of the deceased law enforcement officers, representatives of public organizations, and young people denounced the terrorists.
At the meeting, a resolution was adopted, which, in particular, proposes to unite the efforts of all the republics of the region in the fight against the common terrorist threat.
