Bloggers collected tons of trash

In Russian cities - from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad - the "Blogger Against Garbage" campaign is taking place on September 8. The goal of the mass cleanup is to collect garbage from all the forests, parks, squares and ravines of Russia. Bloggers spoke to PublicPost about how they cleaned up their hometowns.

The author of the cleanup initiative is blogger Sergei Dolya. The “Blogger Against Garbage” campaign is taking place for the second time. It took place for the first time on August 6, 2011. Then cleaning of the territory was organized in 120 cities of Russia.

Moscow

In Moscow, subbotniks were held in 19 places. The main place for cleaning was Bitsevsky Park, Egor Klimatov, the organizer of the cleaning, told PublicPost: “There is a lot of garbage. About 200 people are cleaning at the main point. We collect garbage at all points separately.” The organizer of the “Blogger Against Garbage” campaign, Sergei Dolya, took part in the cleanup.

Saint Petersburg

Anna Volynskaya, organizer of the cleanup : “We were cleaning the recreational area of ​​the Yuntolovsky Nature Reserve - a place that the municipalities do not clean and for which the reserve is not responsible. There were about 100-120 people. At first there was a motorcycle rally, and the lion’s share of the volunteers were motorcyclists from St. Petersburg and the region. The run in the city from Europe Square went through the city center and finished at the central cleaning point. We collected about 200 bags."

Khabarovsk

Alexander Golovko, organizer of the cleanup : “There were about 120 people, we removed 2 KamAZ trucks of garbage and the administration will take out another 30 bags on Monday. About 20 bags of glass bottles were taken out. We were lucky with the weather, it was sunny. Everything went smoothly and neatly, everyone had fun and everyone is happy."

Novosibirsk

Mikhail Dokukin, organizer of the cleanup : “We had two points for garbage collection - the floodplain of the Ob River and the lake. In total, approximately 150 people took part. We collected 93 bags of garbage, and a prize was established for the most original find. The original find turned out to be a bra. We are garbage collected separately - glass, plastic, aluminum cans. The Tiger Siberia company took over the removal and processing of garbage. On the lake, volunteers found a treasure trove of garbage and collected more than three hundred bags - note that collecting separately takes longer. "The district administration took care of it. In general, the administration helped a lot - they organized a stage, sound, people were taken on rides on the embankment, there was an entertainment program and environmental quizzes."

Blagoveshchensk

In Blagoveshchensk, volunteers cleaned up an area on the banks of the Zeya River. More than a hundred people decided to support the action, Port Amur reports . The event was attended by the regional governor Oleg Kozhemyako and the head of the Blagoveshchensk city administration Pavel Berezovsky. While the officials were working, some volunteers assembled a statue of a man from the trash and named him Marginal. Dozens of plastic bottles, bags, dry branches and even slippers were used to create the huge statue.

Irkutsk

Anton Bober, organizer of the cleanup: “We were cleaning up the Academgorodok area in Irkutsk, the area along the Starokuzmikhinskaya road. We were clearing out a huge old landfill that had existed for many years. We collected a lot of glass containers and bottles - local alcoholics probably dump them there. Everything was collected in bags Everything will be removed on Monday-Tuesday. It’s just terrible that there’s one less landfill in the city of Irkutsk.”

Yaroslavl

Anastasia Loshmanova, organizer of the cleanup: “Despite the cloudy and rainy weather, the guys still diligently cleaned the yards of their beloved city. In a short period of time, we collected 11 full bags of garbage with the efforts of eight people.”

Kirov

Ekaterina Reutova, organizer of the cleanup: “The action began at 10 am, they cleaned up the Kirov recreation park, then they cleaned up the park near the Palace of Pioneers. 50-60 people took part in the action. There were enough workers! We were pleasantly surprised that it was not very dirty "Only bloggers attended the event. Everyone was happy. The head of the city administration and the head of the Leninsky district came. The administration organized the garbage collection: they brought us huge bins and helped us a lot."

Kaliningrad

Roman Yukhnovets, organizer of the cleanup: “We were cleaning up in the Curonian Spit National Park on the coast of the Baltic Sea. There were 15 of us and the staff of the national park, foresters. We hung signs in the most prominent places on the centuries-old pine trees: “They’ve cleaned up here, please don’t litter anymore.” They cleaned up in total about a kilometer of forest and a kilometer of the Baltic coast. They monitor the environment here, it was quite clean, but they still collected about 200 kg of garbage.”

Kostroma

Starov Maxim, organizer of the cleanup : “Everything was great! We quickly put on our uniforms, took bags and gloves, and then rushed into battle. We cleaned up over 70 bags on the Volga embankment. Then we ate barbecue and washed it all down with cola, and in the end we gave everyone magnets.” .

Omsk

Vasily Neverov, organizer of the cleanup : “It’s noteworthy that almost the entire DHL Omsk branch came out to help us. Just like that. Plus, the Clean City company, a waste disposal company, responded promptly. Ordinary people came up, took bags and gloves. Activists of the Omsk - City movement helped for the people", the group "Omsk is a clean city". The guys regularly hold clean-up days a couple of times a month."

Magnitogorsk

Svetlana Khodko, organizer of the cleanup : “50 people of different ages, different occupations, different religious beliefs gathered at the Eternal Flame of the Home Front memorial to tidy up the territory of Victory Park and the coastline behind the monument. As it turned out, city services “didn’t wait for us” and cleaned up the place right before the planned cleanup. This didn’t stop us, we still found enough garbage in the reeds, bushes and abandoned buildings around the beach. Schoolchildren helped in the cleanup. They came up with the motto: “We are not ashamed of cleaning up, we are ashamed of those who litter. !" We collected 30 bags of sorted garbage for recycling and about the same number of bags of general garbage."
