The Paralympic team of the Russian Federation returned to the second place in the team standings of London Games

The Russian team rose in second place in an unofficial team standings after the 10th day of the Paralympics, which ends on Sunday in London. On the penultimate day of the competition, the Russians won 9 awards - three gold, silver and bronze.

Plovtsi Pavel Poltavtsev (Brass, 100 m, class SV9) and Mikhail Zimin (Brass, 100 m, SV12) won gold with world records. Tatyana Ivanova won her third highest award at the current Paralympics in 100 m running (T36), ITAR-TASS reports.

Silver was won by athletics, Fedor Trikolich (200 m, T12) and Alexei Kuznetsov (spear, F54/55/56), swimmers Konstantin Lisenkov, Eduard Samarin, Pavel Poltavtsev, Denis Tarasov (combined relay race 4x100 m).

Bronze at the athletes of Yevgeny Trushnikov (400 m, T37) and Roman Kapranov (100 m, T37), as well as the swimmer of the oak novel (Brass, 100 m, SV13).

In total, in the piggy bank, the Russian team has 101 medal - 35 gold, 38 silver, 28 bronze. In an unofficial team standings, the Russians reached second, again overtaking the British (33-42-43).

The national team secured the place in the first three of the team offset and has a lot of chances to maintain second place.

The British, in order to catch up with Russians who are ahead of them by two gold, need to become champions twice. They can still return to the second place, but their chances are small - on the final day, representatives of foggy Albion perform only in two finals, where their athletes are far from the first roles.

The Chinese (95-71-65) won early victory at the Games in London, Ukrainians (33-23-28) are in fourth, the fifth by the Australians (31-22-29), in the sixth place of the Americans (30-29-37).
