Finally, by the beginning of September, the confrontation between the heads of the republics took on the form of a territorial dispute: Ramzan Kadyrov said that he had archival documents confirming Chechnya’s rights to part of the Malgobek and Sunzhensky districts of Ingushetia, and also accused the Ingush authorities that they “went deep into the Chechen Republic” and “encroached on five of the depths of our hectares of our hectares land ".
