In Kurgan, due to the suspicion that an explosive device had been discovered, residents of one of the entrances of a 9-story building were evacuated, the press service of the Kurgan Internal Affairs Directorate told the Interfax-Ural agency.
According to the press service, on Monday morning the police duty station received a message from a resident of a 9-story building on the street. Krivolapova, 19, that a round object with wires sticking out of it, similar to an explosive device, was found a meter from the house.
“A task force with a canine handler, riot police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and ambulance officers went to the scene. The residents of the entrance were evacuated. Calculations are currently underway to determine how many people were evacuated. No explosive device was found,” the press service told the agency.
According to the agency's interlocutor, the suspicious item turned out to be possibly used firecrackers. Four tubes with wires sticking out of them and wrapped in tape really resemble explosives. The police are searching for the "jokers".
