Unknown persons poisoned dogs four times in a private shelter in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Voronezh, shelter owner Yuri Shamarin told Interfax on Monday, September 10.
“The first time dogs were poisoned was on July 30, then 35 animals died. In August, dogs were poisoned twice, resulting in the death of 17 animals. This morning I found 5 more dead dogs on the territory of the shelter. In all cases, we found food in the shelter territory that there were pills," he said.
Yu. Shamarin noted that for each case of poisoning, statements were written to law enforcement agencies, which initiated cases of cruelty to animals, but it has not yet been possible to identify the criminals.
