This is political repression

In general, this is a rather creepy experience - to sit and read online how the Duma is right at this very moment depriving Gudkov Sr. of his deputy mandate ( here, on Kommersant ).

For those who say that Gudkov “saw the winter rallies and decided to jump on the opposition horse” - look at this video. Remember him? We forwarded it to each other here in the fall with amazement... This is November last year. No “white” rallies with hundreds of thousands of participants have even begun yet. And no one believed that they would happen in the foreseeable future...



It is for this speech, in essence, that Gudkov is now being deprived of his mandate.

And now Vyacheslav Nikonov (NIKONOV!) asks Gudkov in a mockingly patronizing manner, in a victorious cheeky manner, “How could you get into such a mess…”

And don’t write to me that he is a KGB colonel, and “he himself deserved to be killed by his own people.” I've been watching for six months - up close, point-blank - what he does. And I know that he will do more.

What is happening in the Duma right now is political repression. As they say, in kind.
