"Apple" and "March of Millions" September 15, 2012

Today I did not have time to publish (being an Administrator) on behalf of the YABLOKO - Political Party group a message from the leader of the YABLOKO party S. Mitrokhin that Apple had decided to distance itself from the March of Millions in Moscow, when the wall simply exploded from comments, both for and against . In this blog, I will first introduce you to the text of the message, and below will be my opinion on it.

YABLOKO is in opposition to the corrupt oligarchic Putin regime, so we do not prohibit party members from participating in the “March of Millions” in Moscow, and in some regions, Yabloko members even acted as organizers of such actions. But as for our official participation in the Moscow “March of Millions,” this will not happen,” party leader Sergei Mitrokhin told Interfax on Friday.

Explaining the reasons for this position, he recalled that earlier in January and February, representatives of Yabloko were part of the organizing committee of the actions and actively participated in their preparation.

“Previously, the organizing committee also included representatives of radical forces, but all actions were coordinated and the rallies took place without provocation. But subsequently, left-wing radicals and nationalists pulled the blanket over themselves, and the organizing committee acquired a red-brown character, which is largely why clashes and provocations began to occur at rallies. In addition, we cannot participate in an event dominated by red flags and brown uniforms,” noted S. Mitrokhin.

“For me, it also looks doubtful that YABLOKO will participate in joint actions with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which just supported Putin by voting for a law that is especially important for him regarding “foreign agents,” and besides, this party could easily go to the “March of Millions” with portraits of Lenin and Stalin,” said the YABLOKO leader.

And while this blog was being written and moderated, no less scandal in the VKontakte group I mentioned was caused by G. Yavlinsky’s interview with the Finam FM radio station, where he talks in detail about the reason why he stopped attending rallies of the March of Millions.

I will briefly outline the essence. The thing is that the latest rallies are organized primarily by the Left Front, which not only allows nationalists in brown shirts, which was not the case when YABLOKO, PARNAS and Other Russia were the ideologists. But more than that, the slogan of the rally becomes (not yet made public) the demands of the Left Front: nationalization and other communist slogans. Which YABLOKO is categorically against.

If everything that Yavlinsky said is confirmed, then the events of 1993 await us all! The matter may not end by dispersing the rallies, and blood will flow, and a lot of blood! Therefore, I agree with the leadership of YABLOKO, it is necessary to hold your own March!
