What's next?

Yesterday, September 15, dissent marches took place in many Russian cities.

It is wonderful that in different cities of Russia there are people who are aware of the whole situation in the country and are ready to take to the streets. But still, in my opinion, Moscow should ultimately become the center of the protest movement. And only because it is in Moscow that the Government, the Duma, the Investigative Committee, the Federation Council, the Presidential Administration, the leadership of the special services, the main security officers of the country, and the President himself meet. That is, all evil is concentrated in Moscow. Regions should become platforms where a protest movement will be formed (on the ground).

And now about the format of the rally itself. Has anything changed since last winter, when people started holding rallies? I think nothing. Or rather, tariffs increased, new political prisoners appeared, “people’s representatives” passed absurd laws and that’s it. Our demands were not met. Perhaps the situation will somehow change for the better after the elections to the Constitutional Court. But still, I believe that it is impossible to change the government (destroy the regime) by first agreeing with this government on the route of the procession and the end time of the rally. The authorities were afraid last winter, but now they are no longer afraid. Tens of thousands of soldiers, riot police, and special forces go to coordinated events to “keep order.” I'm not even talking about the various special services that infiltrate the crowd of protesters and control the situation from the inside. One FSB officer I know told me how almost tanks with military personnel are on duty in a parking lot near Moscow during rallies.

What will happen if tens of thousands of people come to Red Square, to the Kremlin? Or to Manezhnaya? Or just some government building? They will come out with some demand and will stand until the authorities begin a dialogue. There is nothing illegal about this. But, as we know, the law is not written to the security forces. Will they disperse? I don’t think so... If there really are a lot of people coming out, they won’t disperse them. Not 6000, but 60000. Many soldiers and police can take our side in this case (according to them). But there must be a reason for this. It will be important not only to hold fair elections, but also to destroy the system. Destroy fascism, homophobia, alcoholism, sexism in people's minds. Destroy all this KGB banditry and anger in people...

But that will come later. In the meantime, there will be rallies as an accumulation of protest. Therefore, rallies must be regular! Like that winter, for example.
