Court decision? No, I haven't heard

Yesterday, like a week ago, we visited the administration of the Turgenevsky rural settlement of the Polessky district of the Kaliningrad region. This place is extremely interesting in that, due to the obvious machinations of the head of the settlement, Anton Myts , against whom a criminal case has been opened, the head himself still continues to actively manage all processes.

A week ago, Anton Myts decided to gather all the deputies of the village council and resolve a number of urgent issues. There were also formal decisions at the request of the prosecutor’s office, and some amendments to the settlement’s Charter, as well as issues related to municipal property. Despite the court's decision to remove Anton Myts from the powers of the head , he still tried to quickly hold the Council. This did not work out for him, because... one of the deputies, quite logically, was indignant at who is presiding over the Council - the head of the settlement, or an outright swindler against whom a criminal case has been opened under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation? The deputy then left the meeting of his colleagues, thereby depriving this already ridiculous action of quorum.

A week later, after the “head” of the Turgenevsky rural settlement, Anton Myts, was searched and all documents and computers were confiscated , he decided to reconvene the Council of Deputies. He did this in a very original way - by sending SMS messages from his personal phone. At the extraordinary Council, now simply deputy Anton Myts, again wanted to make some incredibly important decisions. Moreover, he suddenly became so concerned about the life of “his” settlement that he himself prepared the agenda, and he himself decided to be the secretary of the meeting and keep its minutes. To ensure that none of those present had any unnecessary questions, even the head of the district, Igor Bolsun, attended the meeting of the improvised Council of Deputies by Anton Myts.

Even before the start of this meeting, one of the deputies incredibly persistently refused to let us into the hall, shouting at the entire administration that the meeting of the Council would be held behind closed doors. Who and when decided this, the deputy could not answer and was forced to retreat.

A lady of Balzac’s age, a deputy and part-time owner of a local cheese factory, whose discharge into a roadside ditch “helps local residents breathe deeply,” began to manage this entire completely incomprehensible process. Who and when elected her chairman also remains a mystery to us.

Despite this, the lady deputy completely suddenly opened the meeting of the Council, actively consulting in her actions with Anton Myts. After voting to open the meeting, the same deputy who did not want to see us proposed to close the Council to prying eyes and ears. After a short debate, turning into wild shouting, the majority of deputies voted for a closed format of the meeting. We were never able to find out why, from whom and why to close ourselves off, but the fact remains that we were asked to leave.

After a half-hour scandal, with the help of the arriving police squad, assistant to the State Duma deputy Ruslan Kozlov also left the meeting of the Council of Deputies. Again, without explanation.

Everything would fall into place if not for one “but”. In fact, this meeting of the representative body of a rural settlement is not worth a damn because any of its decisions is approved by the head of the settlement. The latter, as we know, is deprived of such powers by a decision of the Investigative Committee and cannot sign anything. If yesterday, the so-called The council, in the end, decided something, and especially since these decisions will somehow affect the machinations of the former head Anton Myts, then the prosecutor’s office should take a closer look not only at the person under investigation, but also at all deputies, as well as employees of the village administration.
