The works of British graffiti artist and art provocateur Banksy will be exhibited at the Moscow Manege Museum and Exhibition Association presumably in 2013.
Banksy, whose real name and exact place of birth are unknown, became famous for using stencils to paint his paintings on a variety of buildings in urban landscapes. Some of his works are even cut out of the walls of buildings.
Although Banksy has not yet exhibited in Russia, he has already shown interest in the Russian protest art scene. In 2010, the artist donated all proceeds from the sale of reproductions of his work “Choose Your Weapon” to arrested members of the art group “War”.

Banski's largest exhibition took place in 2009 at Bristol City Museum from 13 June to 31 August. It occupied three floors, which were filled from floor to ceiling with art objects and works of the artist. Perhaps this particular exhibition will come to Russia next year.
