The prosecutor's office of the Murmansk region demanded that regional Internet providers ban access to the scandalous video film "The Innocence of Muslims."
“The prosecutor’s office took measures aimed at blocking communication service providers from accessing Internet users to the scandalous video film “Innocence of Muslims,” which was originally posted on the YouTube video hosting service,” the department’s press service said in a statement.
Prosecutors sent warnings about the inadmissibility of open access to the video to 12 Internet providers in the Arctic. The supervisory authority intends to keep compliance with the requirements under special control.
The press service of the prosecutor's office notes that the film tells about the life of the Islamic prophet "in an offensive form and is aimed at creating ideas about the inferiority of this religion and the part of the population professing it, which indicates its obvious extremist orientation."
