The administration of the city of Irkutsk held the contest "Sculptures of one day" among local designers and architects. The “sculpture of one day” is a temporary street installation that will not decorate the city for long, which may not be so bad. The authors of the work are art studios, advertising agencies and the design department of the local institute.

According to the press service of the administration, the competition was held in order to raise the level of interest "to the aesthetic state of the urban environment", as well as to find "new and current decisions of organizing fragments of the urban environment." The main requirements for participants, as usual, were the innovation of thinking and non -standard decisions.

All work was put on display of residents of the city, and everyone could vote for the best, in his opinion, work.

After several months of expectations, the winners of the competition were named.

At local forums, the competition was discussed hotly, they remembered Dali and Shagal (?!). The main reason for disputes: skepticism of some and rainbow optimism of others. An example of a discussion on the forum :
