
At least nine climbers died as a result of an avalanche on Saturday September 22, on Mount Manus in the Nepal Himalayas, six more people are missing, BBC reports. At the moment, rescuers have discovered the bodies of two people - a German and a local conductor. Among the missing tourists are citizens of Germany, France and Nepal.
The avalanche caught climbers at an altitude of 7000 m. They were heading to the peak at an altitude of 8.156 m.
