Alexey Slashchev asked Andrey Rodionov, deputy editor-in-chief of Kommersant FM, to test the Lexus RX350 and share his impressions.

Alexey Slashchev: Lexus RX350 has undergone external updates this year. One of the most notable changes was to the front of the car. The radiator grille is now spindle-shaped. Naturally, the price of the car has also changed. The test car RX 350 in the “prestige” version began to cost almost 3 million. Andrey, you are a great connoisseur of everything premium, please share with us your first impressions. Please tell us about the interior and exterior. Describe the aggressiveness of your appearance.

Andrey Rodionov: I have complex and even somewhat contradictory impressions of the appearance of this car. On the one hand, it seemed to me that she had become more rounded and refined, but at the same time more aggressive. Yes, this is such a paradox. I compare, of course, with the previous model of the same Lexus. Like anything new, you need to get used to it, and in principle it only takes a few days. Everything inside is very cool. By the way, for some reason I remember the small windows on the sides of the windshield. Very similar to the so-called “window windows” in old Soviet cars. However, this is where the similarities with the Soviet automobile industry end.

Alexey Slashchev: Well, did the car remain as predictable in motion?

Andrey Rodionov: In this matter, Lexus remains true to itself. A very soft and smooth ride has always been a distinctive feature of cars of this brand. The RX 350 was no exception. By the way, in the conditions of Moscow, where the roads are far from ideal, this is a very important characteristic - the suspension neatly absorbs all the bumps. And driving along the highway is just a resort.

Alexey Slashchev: I completely agree with you. The result is a car in which you can comfortably travel any distance - from daily home-to-work trips, to traveling with friends somewhere outside the city. Did you manage to create a portrait of the owner?

Andrey Rodionov: You know, it seems to me that you can imagine anyone driving this car. What can you imagine there? I actually saw it. It is clear that this is a person with income, but, for example, who is this - a man or a woman? It seems to me that this car is equally suitable for the stronger and weaker sex. And, of course, this should be a person who, as you put it, loves everything premium.

Lexus RX350. Acceleration to 100 km/h - 8.0 s. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 10.6 liters.

Maximum speed is 200 km/h. Engine power - 277 hp. Trunk volume - 496 l.
