On “Echo” I read a post by Valeria Ilyinichna Novodvorskaya: “We are not participating in elections in the trash heap” and, despite endless respect for the author, I could not remain silent.

Why is the voice weak, because, unfortunately, the life of my notes is short and sad, like the flapping of the wings of a mayfly butterfly. But I will still try.

Since I’m participating personally, I decided to answer from our “garbage dump”.

So, casting my voice from the trash heap, I want to say: “Dear Valeria Ilyinichna, I have a position - this is, firstly. Secondly, I believe that the sacred canonical cause of the opposition is the struggle for power, and by going to the Coordination Council (CC), I am going to engage in politics and fight for power. Moreover, I believe that we are allies here. Well, then, I am ready and will argue with you about the program of action and methods, and not about in which places politics should be done and in which ones not, although I think that our differences are stylistic..

I want to say right away that I have great respect for the delightfully fierce Valeria Ilyinichna. Moreover, I consider her book: “Poets and Tsars” to be the best textbook on Russian literature of the Silver Age.

However, let's take it in order.

First, about political virginity.

“Blessed is the man who does not go into the assembly of the wicked, who does not stand in the ways of sinners, and who does not sit in the assembly of the wicked.” The first Psalm of David is fully consistent with the Old Testament, but not always with politics as the art of the possible.

I have convictions and a position in the elections to the Coordination Council; I think Valeria Ilyinichna knows it.

In 1994, as an independent deputy in the State Duma, I joined the Democratic Choice of Russia party, which was later transformed into the Union of Right Forces, and was a member of it almost until its inglorious end.

In 2005, in May, I put forward my candidacy for the post of party leader and wrote a pre-election article: “The crisis and the salvation of the right-wing forces” (for those interested, you can find “Nezavisimaya Gazeta” dated May 17, 2005 on the Internet).

I suggested that the Union of Right Forces go into opposition; our leaders told me: First economic transformations, and then politics.

I admit, I was overwhelmed by the intellectual wave, although economic transformations and career growth happened for some of my colleagues, but somehow things didn’t work out with politics.

I remember then, fascinated by the icons of Russian liberalism, dear Valeria Ilyinichna, warmly supported the tandem - Nikita Belykh and Leonid Gozman. This is where this glorious tradition came from.

The first tandemocrats did not lead the party for long, although, however, they successfully prepared and committed its mercantile suicide.

So what? Immediately, in the beautiful manner of her fiery style, Valeria Ilyinichna wrote: “no one will lay a wreath at the cesspool in which the “Union of Right Forces” found itself.”

This is how she expressed her attitude towards the liquidation of the liberal party itself, and its merger with the Kremlin phantoms, “Civil Power”, the sophisticated indulger of power Borshchevsky, and the DPR, the singer Sarukhanov, ugh, I always confuse them - the main freemason, Bogdanov. "

The turn is certainly sharp, accessible to few aerobatics aces. But, in principle, an absolutely correct assessment. I remember that I then expressed my admiration for Valeria Ilyinichna.

Well, now, raising my voice “from the trash heap,” I want to say: “Valeria Ilyinichna, I’m afraid that this time you will need an anti-g suit for maneuver. Maybe we will actually succeed in something.

If we are thinking people, we should certainly take into account some historical experiences, for example, freedom without justice is not very dear to our citizens. That is why they allowed her to be taken away by a brutal man with a quiet voice and inconspicuous manners

Therefore, I am convinced that when planning to return the freedom stolen from the people over the past 12 years, we liberals cannot forget about justice.

But it is possible to balance freedom and justice in both politics and economics.

A roadmap has been developed. A number of teams and brilliant, nationally known experts took part in its creation. Having carried out a constitutional reform, adopt a new Basic Law that would guarantee deliverance from the reproduction of autocracy in the country, decorated with democratic institutions.

We have a draft of this social contract. On the day of adoption of the Constitution, elect a new State Duma.

This time – a real, real Parliament, in which, as you write: “liberals, communists, socialist-revolutionaries, and nationalists may well be present.”

By the way, I am convinced that only such a reboot of the political system can save us from another, senseless, merciless one.

It seems to me that some smart people have this understanding both in the Old Square and behind the battlement. You won’t believe it, but our today’s fellow travelers may well be yesterday’s loyalists.

You, too, have never loved: “... everything to the ground, and then...”. Let's try to take a different path this time, 100 years later.

When drawing lots among candidates to participate in the debate, which took place on the Dozhd TV channel, I saw many young, talented guys. What inspired faces. Some called themselves supporters of leftist ideas. After spontaneous discussions, they began to think.

How is it, the sage Huberman says about you and me:

“And the whole Leta River is almost visible,

my head is full of garbage and light.”

Let's add some light. It’s too early to shovel them into the trash heap, Valeria Ilyinichna. Early.
