Having abandoned his claim against Oleg Deripaska, Mikhail Chernoye not just deprived the excited Russian business public of an exciting show, comparable in scale with recent representation, given by London Boris Berezovsky and Roman Abramovich. He deprived the Russian society of this history of the formation of an oligarchic state in which this society lives.
Yes, of course, Berezovsky and Abramovich told a lot. But even they - with all the level of their connections and capabilities - could not know everyone. There are too many offices in Russia - and too many billions. And there were always rooms, the doors of which were closed even in front of Boris Abramovich and Roman Arkadyevich. And there were always billions that they could not earn. This money was earned by other people - and the schemes that they could share with us would supplement the picture of the creation of a huge forensic corporation on the site of Russia.
Each branch of the Russian economy as a piece of mosaic, which lies in its place. A recent interview with Rema Vyakhirev “Forbes”, in which he recalls the relationship between Gazprom and the presidential family, is a magnificent illustration that the ideas about the essence of the Russian authorities, which are still seeming many speculations, are the most common truth. In this interview, Vyakhirev calls Abramovich the emissar of the family without abysses. But if the trial in the case of Emissar Abramovich was such an exciting process, then what details the process against Deripaska could be accompanied! After all, Deripaska, the son -in -law of the "most" presidential son -in -law of Yumashev, is not an emissary. This is the family itself.
But we will not know anything. The history of the Russian aluminum industry will remain the personal property of Mikhail Cherny, Oleg Deripaska and other informed gentlemen - and it’s a pity! Those who will describe in the future the process of degradation of the Russian economy, to those who will try to understand why the huge, resource -rich country did not "rose from the knees" after the collapse of communism and remained just a raw material colony of the group of its greedy masters would not be superfluous to get acquainted with the testimony of billionaires. And even more so, it is important to their contemporaries who just need to know in which country they live and how billionth states have accumulated in this country.
They say that Black withdrew the lawsuit, because after the defeat of Berezovsky he no longer hoped to win over Deripaska, he realized that the British courts simply did not understand the logic of oral agreements, the "shooter" and the intermediary services of Russian officials. But the influence of the Berezovsky process against Abramovich could be different. Aluminum kings simply did not want to undress in front of the public, seeing what consequences the striptease of their predecessors led to, what sensitive calluses they pressed, what kind of people - oh, what great people - forced to sweat in front of the London court!
Berezovsky, who opposed himself to the entire Russian establishment, could afford to act recklessly, focusing not even on success, but on the public self -disclosure of Abramovich, Voloshin and his other recent pupils and partners. He could without fear - what kind of fear is there - to talk about Putin and the boundaries of his influence on Russian business. Black was never Berezovsky - and, even finally settling beyond the borders of Russia, he never sought to oppose himself to those to whom he ultimately owes his business need. But the victory in the process is impossible without an honest story about what really happened. This time, both sides were not interested in such a story - and there was no “aluminum” business.
