UPD: Alexander Romanovich withdrew his candidacy on October 9.
State Duma deputy Alexander Romanovich heads the Moscow region branch of A Just Russia. A military man by training, he served in Africa for a long time. In Angola, under the command of Romanovich, the “merchant of death” Viktor Bout served, who is now serving a sentence in the United States for illegally selling weapons. In the early 90s, Romanovich organized his own business - the Friend publishing house, which produces magazines about cats and dogs, and a little later built a factory for the production of Royal Canin dog food. The businessman decided to get involved in politics in 1999: he founded the environmental organization “Million Friends”, on the basis of which three years later the Russian Party of Life of Sergei Mironov appeared. In 2006, “Life”, “Rodina” and the Party of Pensioners merged into “A Just Russia” (the new party was dubbed “ZhiRoPenya” in the press). A year later, Alexander Romanovich becomes a deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma, and four years later he moves to work in the State Duma. Romanovich decided to take part in the elections for the mayor of Khimki because, according to him, this was an important political event in the Moscow region, which the party could not miss.
This is what the candidate said:
About Khimki, its problems and what the city needs:
“Khimki is part of my homeland. My homeland is the Moscow region, I was born here, lived and, I hope, will live. Khimki is not the worst education in the Moscow region, but the main issue that the city will face in the next 2- 3 years is a question of housing and communal services in a broad sense: these are networks, both supplying and receiving, this is electric power, this is sewerage. The pressure on the soil in Khimki has increased manifold in recent times, next to two-story buildings there are twenty-four-story skyscrapers. This complicates the process of operating everything. networks. And I see this as the main danger for the city. Well, it is necessary to resolve issues with kindergartens.
Khimki needs a decent, fair and knowledgeable leader who has experience in political work, who has, in the good sense of the word, administrative resources accumulated as a result of his work in the Moscow region, and who knows that construction and exorbitant investment should not be at the forefront projects, but there should be specific people."
About Khimki Forest:
“The issue has been resolved as of today. And every effort must be made to ensure that the route does not cause damage to the area closest to it and the forest, so that all this is in accordance with the approved plans and does not harm the residents of Khimki. The topic of the Khimki forest was raised to the federal level from opportunistic considerations of supposedly public organizations, which are also led by Ms. Chirikova. In this regard, I have my own position - this is an individual project and personal PR. Since 2009, everyone understood perfectly well that this would happen, and so it happened. relate, but there is still some whiff of the USA here. I heard that American companies allegedly applied for the construction of the road, but they did not succeed - they gave the contract to the French, to the Vinci company. And then Chirikova received a grant from the American government. ...".
About the Governor of the Moscow Region Sergei Shoigu:
“I view the reforms that he began to carry out in the field of local self-government positively - direct elections of heads of administration, putting things in order with land allotments, issues related to urban planning and forests.”
About competitors:
About Evgenia Chirikova: “Evgenia Chirikova’s speech at the “March of Millions” asking for money to be sent to her is surprising: if you couldn’t organize your campaign - you need no more than a million rubles, this is ridiculous to say to a person who is going to manage the budget in 6 -8 billion - the questions disappear."
About Oleg Mitvol: “Provocations with circulation began, the game begins, the creation of an informational occasion - this does not make the candidate look good, does not indicate his seriousness, there is something adventurous in this. Moreover, I know how Mr. Mitvol’s proteges govern the territories of the Moscow region, for example , indecent stories in the Mozhaisk region. This, as a State Duma deputy from the Moscow region, does not suit me.”
About Oleg Shakhov: “I am not familiar with Oleg Shakhov, I have not met yet. But, in any case, he gives the impression of a serious person who approaches the issue with understanding and responsibility.”
About Sergei Troitsky: “No comment.”
About campaign financing:
“I contributed 100 thousand rubles from personal funds, the regional branch transferred 150 thousand to me, some of my supporters, 30-40 people, supported me - they transferred 2 thousand each, and about 10 medium-sized companies made donations.”
On a possible defeat in the elections:
"Whatever the result is, I will not consider it a defeat. I am a politician, this is my job. If the result is not the one I expect, then next time I need to make adjustments."
The main slogan of the election campaign:
"Let's keep what we have and make it better."
The main thing in the election program:
“Social protection: to resolve issues with kindergartens, with a waiting list for housing and social payments. I am not inclined to prescribe from A to Z. The professional approach is to conduct an audit, based on this an action plan is drawn up. It is consistent with the Council of Deputies. Therefore, we need to find mutual understanding with the people's representatives of the residents of Khimki. Life will set its own tasks."
