There is a social network for disabled people on the Internet

The idea to create a social network for people with disabilities was born from the idea that soon social networks based on interests will become the basis of the Internet community. People are interested in communicating with other people with similar interests, who understand each other better, perfectly, and who have a common “bird” (professional, group) language.

The idea of ​​creation was followed by a thorough study of aspects that are significant for people with disabilities (ITU, legislation, social protection, integration), their interests, needs and desires. And then there were sleepless nights, a leapfrog of thoughts and ideas about how best to create a resource that, on the one hand, would meet all the modern requirements of a social network, and on the other, would satisfy all the desires and needs of people with disabilities, providing the opportunity for full communication and relaxation. And finally, the painstaking work of translating ideas into reality. This is how a new project appeared on RuNet - the social network for disabled people NEIGHBORS .

Today our network is one and a half years old, but it already unites more than 1000 participants. The site has a rich photo gallery, more than 45 different interest clubs, and many personal and collective blogs. For thematic communication, discussion and analysis of emerging questions and problems, there is a forum, articles, as well as a “question and answer” section, where even an unregistered user can get an answer to his question.

In general, the social network NEIGHBORS is quite loyal and friendly to guests, almost all of its functionality is available to anyone, and it is not small, especially in terms of entertainment and recreation. Here, users can watch many TV channels online, and the number of channels is much greater than any cable operator can provide. The site has more than 100 modern flash games of various types.

A music album, humorous programs, game tests, a cinema where the best films of various genres are collected, including the latest in the film industry. Perhaps someone just wants to relax by reading interesting and instructive stories and stories written both by the users themselves and taken from other sources.

But it is not only “bread and circuses” that a person is fed; every living creature on earth is programmed to live in pairs, love, create a family, and take care of someone. It is for this purpose that the site has a very convenient, beautiful and easy-to-navigate “dating” section. The functionality available in it allows you to search for your soul mate by place of residence and sort the profiles of participants according to various criteria. In addition, there is an opportunity to express your recognition.

And although the main goal of the site is the maximum socialization of people with disabilities, the exchange of information, as well as the creation of a team of like-minded people to overcome life’s difficulties together and support each other, this does not mean at all that the resource is intended only for people with disabilities, information, contained on it will be equally useful for everyone.
