Film Festival "2morrow/Tomorrow": Programs and dozen the most interesting films

The 2morrow/Tomorrow film festival, traditionally focused on “opening and presenting films that contribute to the continuous development of the art of cinema”, will please the audience with an unusually interesting choice of paintings from around the world. For six days of filmmaker from October 2 to 7, about seventy ribbons will be shown in the framework of nine programs at the Central House of Artists . In order not to get confused in such an abundance, we offer a brief overview of programs with a selection of ten films that should never be missed.

“ Hardly its absence ” ( Sandrin Bonner , France)

Jacques, having met his former beloved Mado, after a decade, has become a friend for her little son. Suddenly, Jacques turns out to be closer to the boy than his native parents. A subtle and emotional drama about the difficulties of relations between former loves, about how the sins of the past affect our real, but most importantly, about paternal love for someone else's child. The painting is a directorial debut in the feature of the actress Sandrin Bonner , known to our viewer in retro drama "East-West" (Direct Warde, 1999).

As always, the paintings of the main competition are something special. Some of them have already been evaluated at the largest world film festivals, some are still little known, but those and others deserve the titles of art Kino, and reflect the direction of its today's development.

In addition, all the paintings of the main competition are related to tonality - this year it is rather heavy dramas. Their theme is life contrary to the madness and cruelty of the modern world, obsessed with a thirst for money, violence and death. Most of the paintings talk about how ordinary people, overcoming all conceivable and inconceivable suffering, needing understanding and sympathy, are looking for their own path to happiness.

“ Weight ” ( Kyu-Khon Jung , South Korea) tells of the sad life of the humpbacked worker Morg, friends with corpses and dreaming of arranging the happiness of his brother, however, in his own, specific understanding.

The tape “ Good Death ” ( Vani de Wein , the Netherlands) in a tragicomic man, without excessive pathos and sentimentality raises the issue of euthanasia.

In the “ Sleeping Beauty ” ( Marco Belokkieo , France-Italia), the same problem is considered from the points of view of representatives of different ideologies, faiths and social groups.

“ Blonde ” ( Yespere Ganslan , Sweden) and “ 90 minutes ” ( Eva Sorhaug, Norway) state the crisis of a modern family, in the first case - in a dramatic manner, on the example of mother and daughters, and in the second, an element of Horror without pity and without jokes is mixed with a drama.

“ Just the Wind ” ( Benededk Flaygauf , Hungary-Germania-France) is a chamber tape based on real events about domestic racism, ending in a bloody massacre.

In the film “ Araf: somewhere in the middle ” ( by the Extraoglu , Turkey-France-Hermania) the world is presented as a purgatory in which people live in a languid expectation of changes for the better, which, if they occur, eventually turn out to be dubious and short-term.

And the authors of the Yema tape (“ mother ”) ( Jamila Sakhrai , Algeria) are wondering whether it is possible to continue to live after the loss of all loved ones, when there is no longer any hopes for the best, and if so, what will this life look like?

Retrospective of the films of Kim Ki Duka :
Kim Ki Duk went to the cinema from an unknown amateur self-taught, to one of the most famous directors of South Korea, who took the main prize of the Venetian festival this year. His aesthetics leaves no one indifferent, it terrifies and fascinates, repels and fascinates. The director’s filmography has eighteen artistic paintings. The retrospective makes it possible to see six of them, although not the most stringent, but reflecting the last period of the work of the master.



Retrospective Hitoshi Matsumoto :
Hitoshi Matsumoto is a Japanese television comedian, and part -time "one of the main discoveries in cinema in recent years."
