The notorious actress Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again - the 26-year-old star claims that a man beat her and tried to strangle her in a New York hotel. CNN reports this with reference to the New York Police Department.

The incident occurred on the morning of September 30 at the Union Square W Hotel. L. Lohan, along with several friends, arrived at the hotel after a wild party at a nightclub. It was there that she had a conflict with one of her acquaintances, 25-year-old member of the US Republican Party Christian Labella.

The quarrel occurred over a mobile phone: L. Lohan claims that she asked K. Labella for his cell phone, since the actress’s gadget had run out of battery. However, on the Republican’s phone she found photos of herself taken in a nightclub, without her knowledge or permission.

This infuriated the star. She refused to return the phone to K. Labella, after which he began to beat her and threw her on the bed. L. Lohan also accuses his opponent of strangling the actress while fighting for her cell phone.

K. Labella has a slightly different version of events: according to the young man, the actress took his phone without permission and refused to return it.

The police who arrived to the call initially took the man under arrest, believing L. Lohan’s story. However, during the investigation of the incident, the charges against K. Labella of assault and physical violence were dropped due to lack of evidence.

As a result of the emergency, L. Lohan received a number of bruises, but she did not require hospitalization. The actress continues to insist on her version of the incident. She sued her opponent, accusing him of assault. He, in turn, turned to the servants of the American Themis with a similar claim against L. Lohan.
