On the eve of the first televised debate of candidates, which in the United States (unlike Russia) can significantly influence the course of the election, Mitt Romney wrote a column in the WallStreetJournal in which he accused Barack Obama of failed foreign policy. The essence of the complaint is that under the current president, America has lost its global influence, and with it its allies overseas. “And it's dangerous. If the Middle East continues to descend into chaos, Iran moves toward a nuclear breakthrough, or if Israel's security is threatened, America could be pulled into the vortex." In addition, on Monday, Republicans launched the “Broken Promises” website , dedicated, of course, to President Obama’s broken promises. Among the “failed areas” are accessible education, health care reform and, of course, foreign policy.

Obama's team responded by saying it had assembled a group of officials who worked with Romney when he was governor of Massachusetts to tell the truth about Romney. They will say that he does not have leadership qualities, reduced spending on education and raised taxes on small businesses. Obama's team and Romney's detractors will travel to nine states with their “exposure program.” In addition to the tour, Democrats are preparing flyers reminiscent of Romney's statement, where he called 47% of Americans dependent.
