For starters, a meager bit of September crime. In Moscow, on September 25, the head physician of the Moscow clinic, Mikhail Degtyarev, while heavily drunk, shot a 65-year-old janitor with a traumatic pistol. The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Moscow media note that Degtyarev remains at large and has not even been removed from his official duties.

Criminal fact from September 21. There, in Moscow, Audi A8 driver Sergei Avakov, a Rostelecom consultant, was killed in broad daylight. His friend Alexey Vlasov, financial director of NGS Neftegazsnab LLC, who was sitting next to him, was taken to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute with a gunshot wound to his leg. 12 million rubles were stolen from the car.

In the Moscow metro (September 17), a man shot a woman with an air pistol; the victim was taken to the hospital.

September 23, the city of Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region. A 78-year-old pensioner was brutally murdered here. As stated on the Investigative Committee website, the criminals dragged the old man into his apartment, “where they tortured him with electric shock for a long time, burned him with an iron and doused him with boiling water... in order to obtain information about the valuables in the apartment; then they strangled the man and took things out of the apartment," the report says. Four suspects, including a woman, were detained in connection with the murder. All of them do not work; two were convicted of drug possession and theft.

Saint Petersburg. On September 22, a 20-year-old student of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University was killed in the northern capital. He died from stab wounds, despite the best efforts of doctors. Following the crime, the police detained a St. Petersburg resident (21 years old) and a resident of the Primorsky Territory (19). The detainees were accused of beating a student during a quarrel, after which one of the attackers stabbed him twice. (If a Caucasian was involved in this case, the reaction of Russian “jingoists” would be predictable).

From the criminal chronicle of Novocherkassk - two policemen were shot here. They arrived at the dental clinic after calling the “02” control panel. The caller reported that unknown people were throwing stones at the clinic building. When two police sergeants got out of the car, fire was opened on them from a hunting rifle. Both policemen died on the spot. The attackers took a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two pistols and ammunition from the patrolmen.

These are just some facts from the operational chronicle of September. Needless to say - chilling atrocities. In Moscow alone, how many people die as a result of contract killings. One gets the impression that the “work” of a killer there is a very profitable business, and most importantly, in the vast majority of cases it does not have legal consequences for the performer, much less for the customer. Apparently, because the priority for local law enforcement is not the severity of the crime or offense, but its ethnic component. And if the latter circumstance is related to the Caucasus, there is no doubt that the guardians of the rule of law and Russian society will react to shots from a traumatic weapon at a Dagestan wedding much more quickly and harshly than to the shots of a killer that claimed the life of a Moscow businessman or the rector of a St. Petersburg university.

The first - by illegal or excessive measures, the second - by a xenophobic “tsunami” in the media space. How this happened in connection with the shooting from a traumatic gun at a Dagestani wedding in Moscow and the fight there between St. Petersburg journalist Kirill Panchenko and three Chechen guys. Both facts took place on September 30. Note that in the first case there were no casualties, in the second all participants in the events escaped with cuts on their hands. But it was these ordinary incidents that blew up the Internet. The echo of the Dagestan wedding spread from Moscow to the United States, although, to tell the truth, overseas people reacted not to the event, but to the resonance associated with it.

Moreover, politicians, federal legislators, and even Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed their outrage at the Moscow wedding shooting with a traumatic gun. North Caucasian politicians and public figures sycophantically joined them, unanimously condemning the unheard-of behavior of their compatriots.

What is not clear is this: when a criminal or offender is a Slav, Russian politicians and the Russian people do not apologize for him. When a Caucasian breaks the law, the whole people are to blame, that is, the principle of collective responsibility works at a reflex level. Of course, among the Slavs. Why Caucasians?

Although the very fact of shooting “in the center of Moscow” remains, to put it mildly, controversial. One of the wedding participants said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets that the owner of the traumatic gun, Murat Agalarov, did not even shoot in Moscow, but in the Moscow region, when the groom’s relatives were taking “a bride named Feride” from home. Some other publications also write that shots were fired in Marfino. But, as you know, in information “showdowns” on incidents with a Caucasian trace, the Caucasian version is not taken into account at all. And “stuffing” on the Internet, as a rule, acquires more and more new details. This case was no exception. It is excitedly reported that the Dagestani “shot at passers-by from his car.” The already high emotions were heightened by an “eyewitness” who stated that the shooter was allegedly aiming at him... Against this background of mass anti-Caucasian psychosis, one should not expect sanity. Especially from a publication that is difficult to suspect of tolerance. And yet this is so - “Moskovsky Komsomolets” (dated October 1) concludes an interview with a participant in a Dagestan wedding with the following “alignment”:

“...Notice how easily ordinary people believed in this version of events. If they are traveling in a motorcade in expensive cars, it means they are bandits. If they come from the Caucasus, of course they shoot. Other versions are not even allowed. Although the sound of a shot can easily be confused with the sound of a burst tire. And escorts, not wedding ones at all, are a dime a dozen on the streets of Moscow, and no one clings to them.

How to learn not to put the cart before the horse? First, prove the fact of shooting, find at least one witness... And only then expose the “insolent suitors,” sums up the MK journalist.

The second “sensation” is a fight in the Moscow metro. With the participation of three of our compatriots who applied for work in Zelenograd near Moscow. This event is also “presented” from the words of the main character - St. Petersburg journalist Kirill Panchenko. Allegedly, the defender of two girls who, in his words, were “molested” by three Chechen guys at night on the escalator of the Moscow metro. Seeing this picture, Kirill “made a remark,” and a fight broke out. As a result, all participants in the incident had their hands cut. Why did the Chechens do the same, since Panchenko did not have a knife? History is also sewn with white thread. It is no coincidence that the investigation is looking for witnesses to the incident, especially eager to see the girls who “seemed to have disappeared into the ground.”

As one would expect, three Chechens were put behind bars, and the hitherto unknown journalist Panchenko gained all-Russian fame; he is called a “colleague” by Sergei Dorenko. And, most importantly, apparently, the career rise of the Fontanka.Ru correspondent, who bravely challenged three Chechens late at night in a deserted metro, has been ensured. Although this fact raises certain suspicions among some in the Russian blogosphere.

Thus, in LiveJournal, blogger and ex-Alfa member Dmitry Pankratov focused on the fact that the clearly drunk Panchenko wanted to make a sensation out of the fight, for which he allegedly conspired with a Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondent who was there at the police station.

“Kirya and the correspondent are tuned in to “luck” and “sensation” The first - because he is drunk and inadequate, the second - because the correspondent. Yes, and Panchenko is also a correspondent for some online newspaper,” Pankratov wrote in LiveJournal on the morning of October 1. The former Alfa member is confident that there was no crime in the actions of the Caucasians, which cannot be said about Panchenko.

“According to them, they wanted to pester the girls, but Kirill, who was walking behind, took out a knife and began waving it around. All the confusion begins with cuts. Kirill’s thumb on his left hand was cut, and those two had deep cuts on the inside of their palms and fingers. Which of them grabbed a knife after that?” the blogger asks.

But this is the voice of reason in the wilderness. In the modern realities of Russia, the fact of putting Caucasians behind bars is fraught with a prison term, regardless of the degree of their guilt. Moreover, if the victims of the attack were Caucasians, the Russian “sledaki” will make them accused without any problems. How it happened with three Chechen students of the Maimonides Academy. Everything seems to be in plain sight, that is, on CCTV footage: students are beaten and laid on the asphalt. And then it turns out that on June 8, frail students beat up seasoned, heavily armed riot police. Moreover, last week information appeared about the increased charges against the “suspects” (Mairbek Islamov, Alkhazur Magamaev and Khabib Ibragimov). As you know, then, in June, they were charged with “the use of violence not dangerous to the life or health of police officers,” but now we are talking about “a threat to the health and life of a government official.” As Izvestia notes, for those involved in the criminal case this nuance is of great importance: the maximum term of imprisonment doubles, from five years of imprisonment to 10 years.

It is noteworthy that the rector of the Maimonides State Academy of Culture, Veronica Irina-Kogan, in an interview with Izvestia, stated that the innocence of the university students was confirmed by the video recording of the brawl.

“The video clearly shows that our guys receive several blows from police officers and lie on the ground the rest of the time,” the rector told the publication. “They didn’t offer any resistance.”

No less eloquent is the reaction of the Chechen side, or rather, its absence. Although immediately after the attack by Moscow riot police on Chechen students in the GKA dormitory on June 8, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed indignation at “the actions of law enforcement agencies and the reaction of individual media outlets.”

“A domestic conflict is being transformed into a national event. Without waiting for the results of the investigation, the students are accused of the incident. At the same time, nationality is taken as a basis,” the press service of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic quoted Kadyrov as saying on June 18.

Following this statement by the Head of the Chechen Republic, prominent Chechen politicians were in unison outraged by the actions of the Moscow riot police. Meanwhile, already on July 5, Kadyrov changed his point of view, noting that he considered “rumors about the oppression of Chechens in Russia as an ‘outright provocation’.” After this, all those indignant in Chechnya fell silent. And the public resonance is completely “zero” - both “before” and “after”. Although many young people from the Chechen Republic study and work in Russian regions, it is unknown, to paraphrase a well-known saying, for whom the bell will still ring.

One thing you can be sure of is the appropriate reaction of Russian “law enforcement officers”, or rather, as Pankratov put it in his blog, its complete “inadequacy”. This means that the absolute priorities of the Moscow (and not only) riot police will remain the “anti-Caucasus front”, and not the killers, stranglers of pensioners and the head doctors who, having shot the janitor, remain at large and have not even been removed from office.
