Why Muscovites don't want Sobyanin

Almost half of the Muscovites would like to see a new person, and not the current mayor of Sergei Sobyanin as the mayor of the city. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Levada Center from September 27 to October 1. Sobyanin’s activities only 5% of Muscovites were estimated as “very good”. 15% believe that the mayor can’t cope with work, 44% - that copes with average, 27% believe that things in the city are going well.

77% of Muscovites are confident that the head of the city should be elected by his inhabitants, 18% for him to be appointed president on the proposal of the Moscow City Duma. At the same time, 23% of respondents voted for the speedy re -election of Sobyanin, 65% believe that this should be done at the end of the term of office of the current mayor in 2015.

49% who answered questions do not want another mayor's term for Sobyanin, 31% would prefer to see him in the role of the mayor and in the future.

If the elections were held on the next Sunday, then 36% of Muscovites would cast their votes for Sobyanin. 31% would vote for a candidate from a united opposition.

Muscovites probably begin to understand that the system of power is far from them and in no way takes into account their interests, they perceive Sobyanin as the personification of this very power. The system was built under Luzhkov in the early 90s. Then such a centralized system of power was, perhaps, in Moscow and needed. But 20 years have passed, gentlemen! Many Muscovites thinking hoped that Sergei Semenovich would come and the first thing that would do was not to begin to remove Luzhkovsky people, but would change the system of power itself. These prefectures will remove these unnecessary, councils, completely illegitimate structures of power. Nobody chooses them, they are appointed, but they have all the money. And the municipalities do not have this money. Hence the disappointment.

In addition, he managed to break firewood in these two and a half years. “Take all the tents from the metro!” Why all? A person is coming, he needs to buy cigarettes in the morning. Will he say thanks to Sobyanin? No.

Sergei Semenovich, it seems to me, did not understand that Moscow is not ten Tyumen, this is a much more complex organism. An order of magnitude more complicated than the Khanty-Mansi district, where he is remembered and appreciated, is quite deserved. But in Moscow, it is not necessary to lead from one center, it is necessary to give authority to the place, as it was in Soviet times. I am a small fan of socialism, but then in Moscow there were 33 districts, 33 district councils, 33 executive committees, one Moscow Council and one Mosgor Executive Committee. And everyone fit in one building! And now they do not have enough buildings for 125 managers. Not people need to be changed, but a system for starters! So let Sergey Semnovich not be surprised at such a rating.

Muscovites' answers concern the next period of Sobyanin, and it occurs only after three years. Those. People simply want to say that the authorities should be born. This does not mean at all that 49% of Muscovites are ready to immediately advocate the mayor’s resignation. In general, the attitude towards Sobyanin is not so bad, much better than the attitude of the Petersburgers to his mayor Poltavchenko and the inhabitants of other subjects of the federation to their heads. Yes, over the past year, the attitude to Sobyanin has become slightly more skeptical, but in general it still corresponds to the average level of assessment of Russian governors. There is still a credit of trust. Sobyanin has not yet realized all his potential for two years of stay at the post, and the Muscovites are not yet ready to finally judge his activities as mayor.
