Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky published in his microblog on Twitter one of the most resonant congratulations to President Vladimir Putin on the anniversary, calling him the first legal ruler of Russia since Tsar Nicholas II.
“Think about it: but Putin is indeed the first ruler of Russia after Nikolai Romanov, who came to power 100% legally. And moreover, 100% legally holding it off. And honestly/universal/elected, is the 1st in the history of Russia? Is this not a chance to revive us,” the minister asked a rhetorical question.
Medinsky did not explain why he considers the presidents of Boris Yeltsin and Dmitry Medvedev to the elected illegally.
Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrates the 60th anniversary on Sunday. The press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said that Putin will celebrate the anniversary without lush celebrations, in a narrow family circle. However, passions boil around him: Putin is the main topic on television, and supporters and opponents of his reign compete in the originality of congratulations.
