Recently, several key top managers have left the Russian-British company TNK-BP. In particular, as Reuters reports , citing sources in the management of TNK-BP, on Friday, October 12, the dismissal of Vice President for Production Alexander Dodds will be announced.

According to the agency, several high-ranking managers had previously left TNK-BP, including the head of the oil trading department and the head of the mergers and acquisitions department.

TNK-BP Lente.ru refused to comment on information about Dodds' departure.

Alexander Dodds joined TNK-BP in 2011 from ExxonMobil in Qatar. Among other things, he represented BP on the board of directors of TNK-BP. Dodds' deputy, Nikolai Ivanov, is considered his most likely successor as vice president.

The company is controlled on a parity basis by the Russian consortium AAR (owned by the structures of Viktor Vekselberg , Leonard Blavatnik and Mikhail Fridman ) and the British oil company BP. At the beginning of June, the British side announced that it was ready to withdraw from the project by selling its share.

At first, the AAR consortium was considered the main contender for 50 percent of BP's shares, but later state-owned Rosneft entered the fight for half of TNK-BP . Company President Igor Sechin stated that Rosneft may also consider the possibility of acquiring a stake in AAR.

In turn, a consortium of Russian shareholders notified BP in early October that it intended to sell all or part of its shares in the oil company to a third investor or take the joint venture public. In this way, AAR believes, they will protect their investments, since Rosneft may not be a suitable partner. At the same time , it became known that Rosneft’s intention to buy half of TNK-BP was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin .
