Positive results of the elections on October 14

This weekend an event occurred that, in my opinion, is of great importance both for the development of the opposition movement and for Russian society as a whole. The opposition, represented by its so-called leaders, suffered a crushing defeat in the local elections. Combined with the obvious decrease in the number of protesters, this indicates an obvious fact, which I (and not only me) have already written about many times. The opposition movement has chosen the wrong strategy. Actually, this was obvious from the very beginning, but today it has become so obvious that even Ponomarev began to write about it. What exactly are the strategic mistakes of the opposition?

1) Betting on elections. It is quite obvious that the modern opposition cannot come to power as a result of any general elections. Well, because the modern population of Russia lives by instincts and basic needs, which are infinitely far from the opposition. It almost always votes for the Authority, because the Authority has more resources to satisfy these basic needs and indulge these instincts. It is quite obvious that the opposition can achieve its goals only either through an armed uprising or by reaching an agreement with the authorities... At the same time, the probability of success of an armed uprising is practically close to zero. The fact is that in the modern world, intelligence services have such advanced technologies and such a powerful apparatus that they are able to prevent any uprising. Accordingly, the only realistically possible option is to reach mutually beneficial agreements with the authorities. But the opposition leaders diligently reject all such possibilities, repeatedly declaring that they are ready to talk only about the conditions for the surrender of power, or the calling of new elections, or the early dissolution of the Duma, or some other similar nonsense, which naturally no one has ever discussed with them. what to say, but he won’t even stutter. At the same time, they very often say that negotiations require force, which is absolutely unprofitable if we are talking about mutually beneficial agreements, that is, agreements that the authorities will observe not because they were forced to do so, but because they want to profitable. But in order to propose options for such agreements, you need to have a good program, and the modern opposition has no program at all.

2) Lack of an elementary program. At the same time, one must understand that the scheme “we will ensure fair elections, and then the people themselves will decide which way the country will develop” or “We are obliged to carry out a political reform, as a result of which power will pass into the hands of the people, who will be able to elect honest, decent and highly professional people" is not a program. It's not even a parody of the program. This is the delirium of crazy people. It is quite obvious that our people cannot be allowed to choose anything, because they cannot choose anything good. And any election demonstrates this brilliantly. Everyone has already understood this, even ordinary riot police, sometimes discussing with opposition figures who ask: “Well, who if not Putin?” In fact, this phrase should be understood as follows: “Well, what course do you offer instead of the current one?” and the answer “We don’t know, the people there will decide somehow.” It cannot suit either them or any normal adult, thinking and responsible person. But the program is needed, everyone really needs it, including, by the way, Putin. Because he, too, does not have a program, he also does not know the answers to the main pressing questions of Russian modernity. That is why he prefers to do nothing and simply “preserve the situation.”

3) Lack of sane leaders. Well, it seems to me that there is nothing special to comment on here. It is enough to look at the percentage of all kinds of “free artists” among the “opposition leaders”: bloggers, writers, journalists, hipsters, actors, photographers, clowns, etc., to understand why it is becoming more and more like a theater of the absurd . And the elections to the Coordination Council of the Opposition, I think, will be an important milestone that will once again demonstrate the childhood illnesses of the opposition.

I hope that all these obvious incidents will contribute to the fact that the level of sanity will increase, and all the problems that I wrote about above will be overcome over time, thank God, there is still time...
