Yesterday, Twitter feeds were filled with somewhat nostalgic messages, reminiscent of the parliamentary elections.
Indeed, Khimki demonstrated that the “authorities” are not going to play honestly (they don’t know how, they are afraid) and that civic activity has by no means died out. I was pleased to note that the professionalism of our observers has noticeably increased, which is why it was possible to occupy polling stations and make these troubled waters boil.
However, quite a few microbloggers began to sadly and heartbreakingly broadcast into the free space that everything is meaningless and the muddy water will swallow us all in the end.
The most important thing is that even the creator of the universe, who can simultaneously roll up this entire world with its freedom and darkness like old clothes and create it again; he cannot disperse this muddy water, which has its origins only in the minds of slaves (greedy, cowardly, dishonest even with themselves)
This battle has been going on for a long time. Only we ourselves can change our lives and our world. The first Christians also walked these swamps of Europe's early savagery, bringing people tools for self-development. And I believe that only after this preparation of the soil could the first seeds of science, education, and Roman law be sown. The swamps became soft, fertile soil, and freedom could be built on it.
My friends, activists, volunteers and oppositionists, do not despair when you cannot disperse the troubled waters that have filled the minds of the majority of our citizens at once - with several protests or one election campaign. We need to continue to work in all areas of our lives and carry with us, like the first Christians, the tools to work on ourselves. Don’t be discouraged, don’t be lazy and don’t be afraid, set an example.
There will be no honest and living mayor in Khimki, the water there is still quite muddy, it is still difficult for an honest person there. Seeing the face of Navalny, who, like a catfish in troubled water, swam in Khimki from site to site, you see that the man had drunk too much and was not as positive as usual.
This is normal, we will have difficulties and moments of despair, but in no case should we stop carrying our word and deed, and let fear and anger into our hearts - this is the source of turbidity.
