Yandex top managers became millionaires

17 top managers of Yandex, including developers, editors, financiers and lawyers, sold about 2.7 million shares of the company as part of the option, reports Vedomosti in the article by Yandex to the first ten employees with millionaires (No. 197, of October 17). All this package yesterday cost more than $ 60 million.

Judging by the number of shares, about 10 managers were supposed to become millionaires - in particular, Yandex editor -in -chief Elena Kolmanovskaya and the head of the development department, Alexei Mazurov, could get more than $ 10 million. Kolmanovskaya says that she did not see anything terrible about the promotions she had sold: “I did not steal them, I honestly earned and gather to pay taxes.”

The optional program in Yandex has been valid since 2007, it has been designed for the period until 2017. 10% of the shares were allocated for options - 32.12 million, by May 2011, 17.36 million shares were already assigned to employees: they could redeem the paper of $ 3.62 per share. At the end of March 2011, 2677 people worked in Yandex, every tenth was a participant in the option program.
