Hijab as a way

A scandal is breaking out in the Stavropol region, which I would call “hijab-gate.” Having gone beyond the boundaries of an individual school, it acquired significance at an almost federal level. It all started with the decision of the director of school No. 12 Marin Savchenko in the village. Kara-Tyube, which is predominantly inhabited by people professing Islam (Nogais, immigrants from Dagestan), prohibits students wearing a hijab from attending school. The director’s decision, according to the head teacher for educational work Tagir Amaniyazov, was expressed only orally. But this was enough for the indignant parents to send a complaint to the prosecutor of the Neftekumsky district. Public figures such as Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Abbyasov, Commissioner for Human Rights Pavel Astakhov and Ombudsman of Chechnya Nurdi Nukhazhiev stood up in defense of children and their right to profess a religion that is not at all alien to Russia. R. Abbyasov explained that the hijab is not a whim, but the norm.

P. Astakhov, in turn, said that “the hijab is not some kind of indecent attribute, therefore he proposes to resolve this conflict in favor of tolerance and tolerance.” The Chechen Ombudsman offered assistance in resolving the problem. At the same time, he added: “Dozens of peoples of various nationalities and religions live in Russia. Each of them has its own religious national characteristics. The human rights activist let slip - what was already obvious was voiced by her. Indeed, Islam is also under attack. If the authorship of anti-Christian protests in the country and various phobic actions is mostly external, then anti-Islamic speeches often belong to domestic authors and “performers.”

When from childhood a child is taught that in the world, in addition to personal desires and whims, there is also the concept of responsibility and morality, he subsequently perceives consciously what was instilled in him, told to him in childhood. So here, when a frivolous form becomes the norm, it is already difficult for a person to prove that decency in dress is not unnecessary.

Someone will say, what kind of nitpicking, why can’t a woman, especially a child, refuse the hijab? They will immediately remember, they say, this is just a form that does not express the inner world, etc.

I will answer: the essence of Muslim clothing is to protect a girl, a woman from prying eyes, as it is said in the Koran: “from the gaze of those in whose hearts there is illness.” That is, keep it clean.

It is clear that schools practice a certain form of dress, and therefore it is unlikely that the school management would allow revealing outfits. But depriving those for whom religion is not low on the list of life priorities the constitutional rights to education can be regarded as blackmail. The excuses seem sarcastic: they say that teachers teach Muslim students at home, for free. They created a problem out of the blue and still earn points for it! It is not stated anywhere that it is prohibited to wear such clothes. Such provocations will do a disservice to those who are trying to resist Islamic influence. The Russian public reacted inertly to the same action of blasphemers, in the language of A. Mamontov. But, judging by the comments online, it is Islamophobes who are actively indignant about headscarves. Of course, no one is shouting to abolish crosses, but many want to “protect girls” from Islam.

Liberal values ​​have become so deeply ingrained in society that it has actually resulted in a demand to abolish God in schools. We went through this once: the commandments of the builders of communism never took root. Copied from the Bible under Khrushchev and passed through the communist “Procrustean bed,” the eternal commandments did not become the same phenomenon in the life of an ordinary citizen of the USSR as for a believer, the concepts preserved in the original. To replace one religion with another (atheism) with the moral principles of the previous one - even Michurin would not have agreed to such a crossing. Although at one time the priests accused him of “turning nature into a house of brothel.” Of course, genetics is one thing, the inner world of a person is another. This is exactly the kind of world that needs guidance in our time. Clothing as one of the indicators is an expression of the true state of the inner world. If a person is not ashamed to go out almost naked in public, then this is hardly an indicator of his highest moral qualities. Hijab is a shield. Some perceive it as a violation of women's rights, others as a way to express their individuality - nothing more, and others - as a conscious step towards the pleasure of the Almighty. The essence of Islam in this matter lies in the latter.
