“Alexander Trunov and all the other defendants were found guilty of all the crimes charged against them, including organizing a criminal community,” said the lawyer of one of the defendants, Boris Marin .

Eight people are involved in the case. The next court hearing at which sentences are due is scheduled for November 13.

According to investigators, at the beginning of 1997, a resident of Novosibirsk, Alexander Trunov, created a criminal community, called “Trunovsky” in criminal circles . Gang members are accused of committing 14 crimes. They are charged with banditry, murder and attempted murder, illegal firearms trafficking, extortion and fraud.

According to the case materials, the organized crime group also included the vice-mayor of Novosibirsk Alexander Solodkin , his father - ex-official of the regional administration Alexander Solodkin Sr., ex-deputy head of the regional State Drug Control Service Andrey Andreev .
