German Sterligov, a former millionaire, looks shockingly and speaks shockingly - he appeared at a rally of his supporters, abruptly driving his jeep onto a car lift, which served as a podium for the rally. Without allowing himself to come to his senses, he opened the trunk, took out some equipment and immediately walked up to the microphone to greet those gathered.

The meeting was dedicated to subsistence farming and the demand for the state to provide land for its implementation to everyone. Although the announcement of the rally loudly designated Bolotnaya Square as its location, thereby contrasting itself with the “white ribbon” rallies, in reality the designated area turned out to be on the outskirts, next to the parking lot and among wedding processions. The fact is that Bolotnaya Square is traditionally filled with wedding couples on weekends, but for the sake of Sterligov, the municipal authorities did not fence it off.

Let me say right away that German Lvovich Sterligov promotes a rural lifestyle, which is reflected in his appearance: a lush beard with barely noticeable gray hair, deep wrinkles on his weather-beaten face, a padded jacket and the tops of his boots spattered with clay. The few participants in the rally look similar—20-30 people in total. Among them are Sterligov’s children and wife, peasants from his eco-village in the Moscow region.

He speaks loudly and cheerfully. "Friends, thank you for coming!" - he began. He called the rally a meeting to discuss pressing issues, promising to hold full-fledged rallies in the future. He condemned the “white-ribbon” rallies, calling their organizers “people for whom money is important.” Their harm also lies in the fact that opposition rallies distract from the main thing - the environment. It is logical that he called the authorities his ally. “Putin is ready for proposals. Let’s propose! And if there is no answer, we will act differently,” Sterligov inspired. After him, liberal leaders were also shamed by entrepreneur Konstantin Babkin, the owner of another eco-farm.

In his speech, German Sterligov tried to make as many proposals as possible. First of all, in his opinion, megacities need to be resettled. If the state provides people with empty lands for free use, then such resettlement would be possible. “It is necessary to reduce the number of professions! Remove managerial vacancies! People will say: “There is no work.” If there is no work, go work on the land!” — Sterligov rejoiced at the support of his concept of Russia’s development. The crowd chuckled approvingly. “And we must do this together with the authorities, together with Putin!” - he added.

Entrepreneur Babkin decided to address the issue of ecology. “Today I bought a watermelon to pamper the kids, but it’s like soap,” he was upset. “They are deliberately pumped up so that they are twice as large.” By the way, the topic of watermelon was also raised by Sterligov’s friend Rezanov (his profession, alas, I did not understand), who appeared with a five-kilogram watermelon in his hand and said: “Today I bought the most expensive watermelon in Moscow while driving along Rublyovka. I paid 500 rubles. I checked it for nitrates - the norm is 2 times higher! Now I don’t know what to do with it, I can’t even give it to my workers.” German Lvovich proposed to give this specimen of the fruit to scientists for research. Rezanov also could not agree with this: “Why poison them!”

German Sterligov took the floor more than once, and he also could not help but speak about ecology. “Why don’t our women wash dishes with natural mustard, soap tree, rowan, finally? Who benefits from this?! After all, women would only be grateful. All these water filters and contraceptives are ruining us and the environment,” Sterligov continued emotionally. The time has come for positive news: “This year we will sow mustard and will be able to receive dry mustard from our farm!” Exactly the one that can be used to wash dishes and clean toilets.

So that the reader does not perceive ultra-ecologists as crazy, I will try to outline in my own words their program regarding foreign trade. According to Sterligov, there is now a global trend towards eco-products. But even in Europe, where this trend is especially noticeable, it is not possible to produce products as pure as in Russia. And if Russia is now a raw materials appendage, then our country has a chance to become a food appendage (however, being an appendage of a different kind also doesn’t sound very honorable).

The rally ended and everyone left. “Now let’s go implement our program!” - the inspired Sterligov admonished.
