Majority Strategy Pact

Friends, voting is now underway for candidates to the Coordination Council of the Russian Opposition. I believe that if there are just over 200 people in all of Russia, then each of these real citizens is especially valuable and dear. The collective authors of the “Strategy of the Majority” pact were people who believe that these elections, unique in modern Russian history - through direct electronic democracy - should in no way separate us, but, on the contrary, unite us. This is our main goal and for this reason we are signing the pact.

Elections to the Coordination Council of the Russian Opposition are the most important manifestation of a living democratic process, an opportunity to implement a democratic alternative to the dominant system of power.

Our goal: to change the archaic, ineffective system of power in Russia in a peaceful, organized way.

Our historical responsibility is to prevent social chaos, economic collapse and the collapse of the country.

The first most important task in the elections to the Coordination Council should be considered to be compliance with the principles of democracy within it.

We need a clear program of action to involve the people in the process of self-government and self-organization based on the principles of direct democracy, including electronic democracy.

We must demonstrate the advantages of our democratic approach over the current authoritarian system of power. This will consolidate the opposition and expand the social base of protest.

The canonical task of the opposition is the struggle for power.

Our goal is not only to remove the current corrupt elite from power. It is necessary to change the very system of government in order to prevent further usurpation of power by certain social, national or religious groups. The reproduction of autocracy, decorated with democratic institutions in the country, will come to an end.

The program of action we are seeking to implement:

Urgent organization (as an example of openness and transparency) on the Internet of the Free Russia Forum - a single place for direct, permanent MANDATORY communication between each candidate and member of the Constitutional Court with their voters.

The implementation of genuine popular rule and the establishment of a permanent People's Assembly of Free Russia - the Electronic Veche from all candidates registered in the elections to the Coordination Council. The meeting that makes all the key decisions on the strategy and tactics of social and political activities.

After the elections of the Coordination Council - organizational assistance to the regions in the formation of an alternative system of power: organizing committees, regional Forums of Free Russia, People's Assemblies and Coordination Councils. Without regions it is impossible to get majority support.

The Coordination Council should strive to make its decisions on the basis of general consensus, without abusing the principle of majority over minority.

Immediately after the election, the Coordination Council must begin to formulate a positive, realistic agenda for the future of Russia - the basis of majority support.

We call on ALL candidates of ALL blocs registered in the Coordination Council of the Opposition to join our Pact.
