Without antidote. Early in the morning of October 26, the special services, using unknown gas, began the assault on the theater center on Dubrovka. The result was poisoning and death of 125 hostages. What kind of gas was used - remained a secret and ten years later
In the materials of the criminal case at Nord-Ost, the non-ordering of any medical care of the 73rd of 125 dead hostages was recorded. According to lawyer Yuri Kostanov, doctors at all for a long time did not miss the place where the hostages made from the theater center lay. “I think that some of them were still showing some signs of life. If they were correctly laid, if they tried to awaken the gag reflex in order to throw out this abomination and inhale fresh air, they could stay, ”said the New Times Kostanov, representing the interests of Tatyana Frolova, who had a daughter Dasha, who died on Dubrovka. “They wouldn’t poison, I would have been alive. What are the reasoning here, ”says Yuri Kostanov.
In his opinion, if the gas is developed and adopted, then there is necessarily an antidote - antidote. “The antidote was, I think, but it was not used to maintain secrecy. And he was not only not brought to the theater center, but they did not even tell the doctors that it was used for muck there, ”says Kostanov.
“When, after the assault, the doctors demanded that someone at least hinted what kind of gas it was, there was immediately a refusal. Well, one of them saw in symptoms that people have a state that happens with drug overdose. The doctor tried to apply Noxson, who remove people from a coma with drug poisoning. It worked, ”says Tatyana Karpova, head of the Nord-Ost public organization. -But since there was absolutely no leadership during a rescue operation, one of the doctors had two injections to one, and left others without an injection. And we have cases when the autopsy showed that a person died of an overdose of Naloxon. ”
Storm
The possibility of any non -illegal resolution of the situation, it seems, was not considered in principle *** Although this was the implicit of this hostage inside. -The New Times No. 37 of October 22, 2007: before and after Nord-Ost, Putin has repeatedly stated that "Russia is not negotiating with terrorists, it destroys them." Only individual public figures were able to get inside the theater center, they deduced a certain number of women and children from there. Not a single authorized negotiator from the authorities has appeared in three days.
According to the materials of the criminal case, 40 militants participated in the seizure of the theater center, among them 19 women, they had 20 pistols and 17 Kalashnikov machine guns with them. The hall where the hostages were driven was mined: the terrorists had 21 “Shahida belt” and two large explosive devices. This explosives would be enough to cut the building with the ground. It was this fact that the authorities later justified the need to use gas: if at least one explosive device worked, everyone who was inside would have died.
But even the gas launched into the building did not sleep. Subsequently, Marat Abdrakhimov, one of the actors of Nord-Ost, recalled that after the use of gas, he remained conscious almost all the time. The gas did not work on some terrorists: according to the investigation, they were shot from 13 machines and 8 pistols for about 20 minutes. And yet the explosion did not happen.
Colonel Sergei Shavrin, who commanded one of the Vimpel assault groups, later told reporters that the fighters saw a woman who was sitting on a chair with open eyes in the audience. In her hands there were contacts from the "belt of the Shahid", which could only close. Why didn’t she do this and why the militants did not undermine the building at all, we are unlikely to ever find out: during the assault, all terrorists, including those who were unconscious, were killed.
Gas and investigation *
According to the official statement of the FSB Office in Moscow, “Special Conventor based on Fentanil derivatives” was applied on Dubrovka - that’s all that is still known about this fatal gas. In response to all the requests and petitions of the victims, the relatives of the dead and their lawyers followed the words about “secrecy” and “state secret”.
In the directory of Mikhail Mashkovsky, “Medicines” Fentaligne refers to drug analgesics. It is said about him, in particular, "in the absence of conditions for artificial ventilation of the lungs, the use of fentanil is unacceptable." “When they used gas, those substances that allegedly entered this disgrace, especially acted on the weakened body of hostages. After all, people there spent three days without water, without food, almost without movement, ”says lawyer Kostanov.
The authorities claimed that it was just gas that inhibiting breathing, the use of which could not lead to death. The consequences of the use of this “harmless” gas can be shown by the conclusions of medical experts attached to the criminal case, according to which “all the vital organs of the dead after the assault have undergone irreversible changes incompatible with life:“ sudden heart death ”,“ rapidly occurring death ”,“ a variation of the causes of unexpected deaths. Those who survived were also affected by him.
However, the President of the Union for chemical security Leo Fedorov is sure that the words of officials should not be trusted and Fentanil was named only to take the eyes. “Don’t listen to these trepachs! They, in order to distract our attention, blurred the word "fentanil". They could say anything, ”said Fedorov The New Times. “The question is not at all in gas, but in the crime of power. They did not have the right to use gas under any circumstances - that’s all. Therefore, it is useless to discuss gas, ”the scientist believes. "
The investigation came to the conclusion that hostages died due to "exacerbated chronic diseases." Now the former investigator Kalchuk is working in the prosecutor's office, is waiting for retirement and supports the charge of the arrests of the defendants of the “swamp business”
“Over the past ten years, the authorities did not admit that the cause of almost all hostages was the use of this secret gas. The investigation came to the conclusion that hostages died due to“ aggravated chronic diseases. ”“ Did the investigation group have established a substance that was applied by special services during the assault? ” - the lawyer of the investigator Vladimir Kalchuk asked at one of the rare meetings of the court, “I was based on official examinations.
According to people whose relatives died on Dubrovka, Kalchuk always behaved with them brazenly and rudely. Now he works in the prosecutor’s office, is waiting for retirement and supports the charge of the arrests of the defendants in the “swamp business”. Kalchuk brings apples to all court sessions.
In December 2011, the European Court of Human Rights decided to recover a fine from the Russian authorities in the amount of € 9 thousand to € 66 thousand in favor of the victims during the attack. The court ruled that the bad organization of the actions of the security forces led to a significant number of wounded and dead among hostages. Thus, the Russian authorities violated Art. 2 of the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (“Right to Life”).
Officially, the release of hostages on Dubrovka was recognized as the victory of the Russian special services and the “brilliant special operation”. Five people received the star of the Hero of Russia. Two awards went to the direct participants in the operation, two more - the deputy director of the FSB, General Vladimir Pronichev and the head of the special appointment center, General Alexander Tikhonov. The fifth star received a classified chemist, which developed the gas that was used in the assault.
