Well, what did we actually expect?

Quite recently, there was a completely natural “confession” of Leonid Razvozhaev, which caused a storm of well-founded indignation and not entirely understandable amazement among the opposition-minded public. Well, what exactly did the opposition public expect? What was the surprise? That our “law enforcement agencies” torture people? Well, everyone knew that. Look at the statistics of convictions in our courts, and you will see that almost 85% of all convictions are based on either a “candid confession” or a “guilty appearance.” After all, what is a sincere confession? This is when a person who has committed a crime is tormented by his conscience so much that he simply cannot bear this torment. And for him, the punishment that he will suffer according to the law is much less severe than the moral suffering that the awareness of his own moral wrongness brings to him. It is obvious to any normal person that only a very small number of people (usually less than one percent) possess such a high level of consciousness, such high morality and such a developed conscience. If this is not obvious to someone, they can easily consult a professional psychologist about this. Thus, it is quite obvious that the remaining 84% of the total number of convicted people plead guilty under torture, and accordingly, torture has long become the main, if not the only working tool of our “law enforcement agencies.” But under torture, a person can confess to anything, and there are millions of examples of this in the work of our “law enforcement agencies.” Therefore, in this entire “special operation” carried out by the Russian special services, for me personally there is nothing surprising; moreover, it seems to me that such a development of events is quite natural.

Well, what did the leaders of our opposition actually expect? After all, it is obvious that the policy they are pursuing poses a potential threat to the personal security of Putin and his entourage. Therefore, they will stop at nothing to neutralize this threat. Therefore, like a mantra, the idea repeated by many that as soon as a real million takes to the streets, power will fall by itself peacefully is simply the delirium of crazy people. Especially in combination with the slogan “We won’t forget!” We won’t forgive!” Well, that is, those who think that Putin himself will resign, impressed by how many people took to the streets in order for him to be imprisoned, are clearly inadequate. He will not leave, even if not a million, but 10 or 15 million take to the streets... It is also obvious that if this is necessary, repression will intensify in the future, and this is natural. Well, let's imagine what, for example, Udaltsov would have done with Putin if he had come to power and had the opportunity to deal with him without problems.....

I actually already wrote about this in the spring and received a lot of responses in which people wrote to me that the regime was about to fall, well, it certainly wouldn’t last until the end of the year. I think today it’s obvious to everyone that it will last not only until the end of this year, but absolutely until the end of 2017, so I think it’s time for the opposition, and the entire society, to leave behind their smug moods and develop an effective strategy...
