The court left under house arrest a Moscow boxer accused of murdering a cafe visitor in the Sverdlovsk region
The Krasnogorsk District Court of Kamensk-Uralsky on Wednesday placed boxer Valery Tretyakov, accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a cafe visitor, under house arrest.
The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region reported to the Interfax-Ural agency that V. Tretyakov was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
Earlier it was reported that on Sunday early in the morning in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, near the Chocolate nightclub, the body of a young man with signs of beatings on his face was found. According to preliminary data, at the club he had a conflict with a 22-year-old athlete from Moscow, who came to visit his parents.
On Tuesday night, the suspect turned himself in. According to him, on the way out of the cafe, a young man began to insult his cousin. The boxer intervened in the conflict and asked the offender to explain himself, to which he suggested going outside and sorting it out; he was joined by a 28-year-old visitor, a former cafe security guard.
On the street, the conflict continued, and during it, according to the suspect, one of his opponents hit him in the head. In response, he hit the 28-year-old cafe visitor twice in the head. He died from the blows he received.
V. Tretyakov was charged under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of a person through negligence).
