Serdyukov commented on the case of "Oboronservice"

Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov commented on the situation around the Oboronservis company, whose Moscow office on Thursday was subjected to searches in the real estate fraud case, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, any statements about any fault of Oboronservice employees, made until the end of the investigation, are nothing more than a version. Serdyukov also noted that the Ministry of Defense carefully monitors the development of the situation and is interested in conducting a detailed investigation.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee announced that five criminal cases have been instituted against the Ministry of Defense employees. Of the fraud in the implementation of real estate, land plots and shares of Oboronservis, they have exceeded the damage from the actions of scammers exceeded three billion rubles.

The defendant of the case is the former head of the Department of Property Relations of the Ministry of Defense Evgeny Vasiliev. According to the investigation, its subordinates chose the most liquid and prestigious objects from the property of Oboronservice, then they invested huge budgetary funds in them, after the property was sold at significantly low prices, companies affiliated with “Obornservice”.

Oboronservice manages the activities of open joint -stock companies Aviaremont, Special Republic, Oboronstroy, Agroprom, Voentorg, Red Star, Slavyanka and others.
