The Sarov City Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has received a criminal case against the head of the Sarov interdistrict department of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia, accused of fraud, the press service of the regional court reported.
According to investigators, a police lieutenant colonel three times received money from a resident of Sarov suspected of drug trafficking, allegedly for assistance in not imposing a real prison sentence on him.
Earlier, the Sarov court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for the head of the interdistrict department of the Federal Drug Control Service.
