Kostroma drug police officers discovered a cache of 1.2 kg of heroin that belonged to members of an ethnic drug gang detained in September, the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation for the region reported on Thursday.
In September, employees of the Federal Drug Control Service in the Kostroma region suppressed the activities of an ethnic group involved in the supply and sale of drugs. As a result of the September operation, a cache containing about 3 kg of heroin was discovered at the entrance to the regional center, the report says.
Then, in the course of a successfully carried out operational combination, the detainees - a mother and daughter of Roma origin - were forced to point out another cache of drugs belonging to them, which was discovered and seized by drug police in one of the districts of Kostroma, the report notes.
